Imam Al-Hadi’s fight against the phenomenon of exaggeration:

Excerpt from an article Byhis Eminence, the Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah

We have to observe the trends that emerged in the era of Imam Al-Hadi, which witnessed several calls of exaggeration, and some calls that interpret the HolyQuran and  acts of worship in a way that  does  not convey  the apparent meaning of the words . For thatreason, Imam AlHadi (a.s) took a  firm position from all those who tried to spread exaggeration about  Ahl-el-Beit (a.s.), giving them the attributes of God in all their abilities , positions and energies.

Therefore, Imam Al-Hadi (a.s) asked some people to isolate them, and to interrupt and face them with all  their force .  The issue is not one, that concerns details but a question related to the doctrine and unity, which is the message of the Prophets.  And the Holy Quran assures that Allah isunique ,  the master of everything, and none of His slaves has any significance or power except what Allah   grants of dignity and proximity, as well as any  movement of the call and so on .

“Imam AL Hadi (a.s) confirms that the mind is the argument,   with which one can differentiate between true and false deeds, and distinguish truth from lies, because God has  made  mind , an argument on His   slaves. Man is rewarded and punished in accordance to the depth of his mind,When Allah orders man and forbids him,he  addresses his mind . “
