Please confirm if our wudu is valid if we have shellac and or gel polish on our nails? To further explain What shellac is, It's a patented system that includes a branded base coat, color coat, and top coat which simply is nail polish will harden and add a protective layer with no drying time, it is cured/hardened/dried under a LED light.
If this is impermissible, all prayers made with this shellac nail polish on, are they deemed invalid? I was not aware
A: If it is a nail polish of more than layer, it is permissible but not if it is a new object that is added to the body then it is considered a barrier.
However, if it is a body that cannot be removed like an installed nail and one wiped on it is okay, but if it is a body that can be removed then one has to repeat.
So does this mean that only regular nail polish is permissible? Everything else that hardens and becomes an additional barrier is not permissible and does invalidate wudu and prayer?
A: nail polish is not a barrier, but a new object added to the body is (like Artificial nails ).
Is it permissible to date someone if it is to get married and with right intentions?
A: Dating if it conforms with Sharia laws in that they sit and talk, and It is better to be with the knowledge of the family, is permissible but not if they take about emotional things or arise instincts then it is prohibited.
Is it allowed to have gel nails during the wudu and prayer?
A: No . Because when the gel becomes hard and thick it becomes an additional nail and constitutes a barrier that has to be removed for WUDU to be valid.
