Fadlullah: We should be ready at all levels for any possible aggression on the region
His Eminence, the Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, warned that the American President has taken off the official suit of change and put on Bush's military uniform, pointing out that "Obama" might go as far as his predecessor went, and resort to waging new wars on the Arab and Islamic worlds.
His Eminence noted that this will have certain repercussions on the region warning that the features of the international economic war on Iran are crystallizing. He also pointed out that the quest of the American delegations to Lebanon is changing the doctrine of the Lebanese Army. He added that the Americans continue to give the enemy the green light so as it would go on with its ongoing violations and underway preparations for carrying a new aggression, calling the Arab and Islamic peoples to be ready at all levels to face any possible coming aggression.
Following is the text of the statement:
Day after day, we come to the conclusion that the face by which Obama appeared before the Islamic world early in his tenure was no more than mere words that aimed at creating an atmosphere of content and relief in the Arab and Islamic arena. Meanwhile, the American Administration was going on with its economic project that aims at ending the economic and financial crisis in the United States of America, and consecrates its repositioning, in accordance with its military plans, in the region, namely in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Iran.
It is obvious that Obama's approach to the Palestinian cause has provided the Zionist enemy with plenty of time to reorganize its priorities and arrange its situations, which accelerated the pace of the attempts aiming at ending the Palestinians cause at the geographic level, in a speed that might eliminate any possibility for establishing an independent Palestinian state, as a result of the colonization activities.
We are afraid that the declaration on the failure of the American President in the issue of the settlement is a framed failure fully coordinated with the enemy's entity. Moreover, the so-called disagreements between "Obama" and "Netanyahu" might be unreal and nominal and pictured just to laugh at many of those in the positions of authority and power in the Arab world, reaching the current phase whose features are crystallizing, especially after the speech of the American President on the state of "union", in which he abandoned any commitment to the Palestinian issue, and did not bring up the Palestinian cause even by the words he used to resort to upon discussing the misery of the Palestinians that he always tags to the talk on the security of the enemy's entity and his unshakable commitment towards it Moreover, Obama's envoy carried to the region the outlines of Netanyahu's economic project that summarizes the Palestinian issue and relates the cause to a group of people in need for economic improvements, rather than to a people that have been for several decades tyrannized by an oppressive occupation and they still are.
Therefore, it is useless for the Arabs and Muslims to put their stakes on a change in the arrogant policies used by the United Sates of America, upon the change in the names of the American Presidents. Actually, it has become clear that there is a fixed constant in the American policy regardless of the names and speeches, which is that the Arabs and Muslims ought to change according to the wishes of the Zionist enemy, and to surrender to the internal chaos that aims at preserving the state of instability in the Arab and Islamic reality, in a way that paves the way for the American arrogance and others to dominate over the fortunes and wealth of the Muslims, and exert pressure on their reality and future.
The American President, as his precedents before him, has fallen into the Israeli and Zionist trap, and his rhetoric became empty, since he could not put any of his slogans into practice, making him appear as one who is trying to cover up more failures with more speeches Unfortunately, we are afraid that Obama who has taken off the official suit of change, and has put on Bush's military uniform, will go as far as his predecessor went, in order to cover up his internal failures and his bias to Israel, by resorting to waging new wars on the Arab and Islamic world, starting from Afghanistan, to Yemen, and reaching Iran. Actually, the features of the economic war to be waged on Iran are crystallizing, and this war is meant to be international and paves the road for other levels of struggle. We do not believe that Lebanon, which is targeted by the Zionist enemy, will be excluded from the American strategy, whether due to the aggravating pressures of the demands of the American delegations to change the doctrine of the Lebanese Army, or to giving the enemy the green light to go forth with its violations, aggressions, and preparations for carrying out a wide aggression any time in the future as it has always done in the past.
We say to our peoples: We ought to be ready at all levels to face any coming aggression on the region, even though we are aware that the houses of those threatening and intimidating have become made of glass, and they are no more capable of accomplishing their aspired goals, for they will pay high prices if they set their mind on forcing the region and the world into the mazes of a new adventure whose results might go beyond the region and reach the entire world.
