| Sayyed Fadlullah: The Arabs should work on protecting their authenticity and personality in the face of the US Administration before claiming that some parties in the Islamic arena have thrown out their role in the region |
The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Fadlullah issued a statement in which he considered that the Arabs should criticize the American Administration and warn it against the consequences of involving into new war projects. H.E. also stressed that it is necessary for the Arabs to get out of their "internal complications" and work on protecting the "Arab authenticity and personality in the face of the US Administration before claiming that some parties in the Islamic arena have thrown out their role in the region. He also indicated that our people do not harbor revenge against America. Besides, if America returns to the system of values that it has called for in the past twentieth century, it will be possible to make a historical reconciliation with itself, then with the Islamic and Arab peoples.
In his statement, Sayyed Fadlullah commented on the visit of the American vice President to the region. He said:
The ambassador of the American war, Deck Cheney, returned to his country empty-handed, having been disappointed due to the warning that he has heard in Turkey and because his demands regarding the Turkish participation in the place where America started to feel its fall in Afghanistan, and other fronts, was not accepted. In addition, the Turkish officials refused to involve themselves in the American project that aims at sieging Iran through the political and economic pressures, in response to the Israeli demands.
We raise this issue before the Arab front that we want to get out of its "internal complications" and work on protecting the "Arab authenticity and personality" in the face of the US Administration before claiming that some parties in the Islamic arena have thrown out their role in the region.
The Arab role can only develop through its reinforcement on the internal level in the face of the US attempts to find secondary and marginal roles for some Arab countries. Besides, the US seeks to bring those countries into its own system, which aspires to preserve Israel's interests before drawing up any project in the region.
At a time we started to hear some parties who are considered to be allies of America voicing their rejection to the American movement in the region, we call the Arabs, especially some regimes that are still giving ear to the American officials, to take into consideration that the current American Administration is no longer as strong as it once was and that it has retreated in more than one level.
Therefore, the "American generals of war", especially the vice-president Deck Cheney and many others, should hear from the Arabs more criticizing words and warnings, especially that they are the ones who have ignited the fires in the region. Therefore, if they want to set the alarm for new fires, the latter will hit them before anybody else. They should also know that the nation will prepare for them a suitable farewell through which they will be sure that the age of being crushed before America that wants to wave with the Israeli flag, is over …
Besides, America will not be strong again in the positions that it has lost except through a historical reconciliation with itself, then with the Islamic and Arab peoples, and not through its planes, tanks and fleets.
