Fadlullah: Any aggression against the course of Islamic unity is an aggression on Islam itself

 

His Eminence, the Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, said that any aggression against the course of Islamic unity ought to be considered as an aggression on Islam itself, wondering about who would benefit from the assault on the Sunni and Shiite tribal chiefs and the leaders of the Revolutionary Guards  in the Province of Sistan- Baluchestan in Iran. Moreover, he confirmed that any attempt to drive Iran out of the sphere of confrontation with the enemy into the sphere of internal strife will fail. He also called on the Islamic Sunni and Shiite religious authorities and leaders, not only to denounce this attack, but also to work fast to support the course of Islamic unity by convening unifying meetings that defy the criminals and grant the nation its internal social peace against the occupation and hegemony wars imposed on it.
His Eminence issued a statement on the suicide explosion in Iran. Following is the text of the statement:

The criminal attack that hit the Islamic Republic of Iran and specifically targeted a meeting convened to bring about the good, and unite the Islamic ranks, and promote the course of Islamic unity in the Province of Sistan – Baluchestan… this attack represents the utmost aggression and an insidious attack on the Islamic unity, as well as on its supporters and those calling for it to the interest of the nation's enemies, at the top of which is the Zionist entity and the international arrogance axis led by America and international Zionism.

We wonder just as others have wondered: who would benefit from this assault, and who is behind planning for a crime of such a high level; are they whose names and titles surface from time to time, or those who hold slogans that serve nothing but the interests of the enemies of the nation and Islam, and that appear to belong to Islam, while Islam is in no way related to their actions that have nothing to do with its concepts and values.

Actually, we consider any aggression against the course of Islamic unity, and any attempt to prevent this course from progressing, developing, and achieving its goals to be an aggression on Islam itself, as well as on the noble values that Allah wanted the Muslims to be inspired by, through consecrating their unity and uniting their ranks and getting ready to face their enemy. This crime has shed the pure blood of both Muslim Shiites and Sunnis, in a scene that confirms that the criminal hand does not differentiate between one sect and another, but rather aims at enflaming sedition and preventing those who are loyal to the unity from reaching the ultimate Islamic goal. However, claiming to believe in unity has imposed itself even on the perpetrators and those who have planned for the crime from afar and are offering major opportunities to the Takfiri attacks whether directly or indirectly.

We stress that the attempts of some parties that aim at driving the Islamic Republic of Iran out of the sphere of confrontation with the Israeli enemy into the sphere of internal sedition and the hellfire of chaos that the region is going through will fail. Even the movement led by certain parties to relieve the Israeli enemy by seeking to make the region preoccupied with its internal problems will also fail and will never see the light, because the Islamic leaders in Iran are aware of the scope of the conspiracy and are directing, through their wisdom and awareness, the nation and the people towards the bigger issues and preventing them from slipping into the chasms dug by those who are behind this vicious attack.

As a religious authority, I call on all the Islamic Sunni and Shiite religious authorities and leaders to condemn this crime that has not only pleased the Israeli enemy, but has also broken the hearts of all Muslims. Moreover, I call on them to be aware of the severity of what the enemy is planning for, and of its attempts to deter the Islamic unifying course and to foment sedition in new positions in the Islamic world, as well as to coordinate with the satanic arrogant scheme that wishes to transform the Muslims' homeland into locations where chaos, fights, and conflicts persist. Moreover, the enemies of the nation who have deployed their Atlantic troops on its lands and occupied them, agree that it is acceptable that all the Islamic countries burn down, in the absence of stability and security that even these occupying troops and forces do not enjoy. Moreover, these troops and forces have sought and are still seeking to dominate over the region, as well as its strategic locations and oil roads.

The Islamic leaders are called not only to denounce this attack, but also to work fast to enhance the course of Islamic unity by convening unifying meetings that defy the criminals and pave the way for a permanent civil peace in all the nation's societies against the wars imposed on it by occupation, hegemony, wealth robberies, and confiscation of the decisions.
