Condemning the suicide bombs in Moscow, terrorism

Sayyed fadlullah condemns the suicide bombs that hit Moscow

His Eminence, the Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, condemned the suicide bombs that targeted two subway stations in the Russian capital, Moscow. He also emphasized that Islam condemns this barbaric act that all the religious and humanitarian criteria reject.

His Eminence also confirmed that the act of attacking innocent civilians is condemned, be they in New York, Moscow, Afghanistan, or Iraq, for it actually represents a hideous attack on the human life itself, which Allah has forbidden its ending without any right, regardless of its national, religious, or racial identity.

His Eminence also confirmed the peoples' right of self-determination, calling those concerned at the international level to condemn the Israeli terrorism against the civilians, emphasizing the necessity of searching for the roots and motives of terrorism and embarking on treating them by rejecting all forms of occupation, hegemony, and haughtiness.

His Eminence issued a statement condemning the suicide bombs that hit two subway stations in the Russian capital, Moscow. Following is the text of the statement:

This act has hit the highest point of barbarism and aggression, for it represents a flagrant attack on the innocent; thus, it cannot but be condemned by all religious and humanitarian criteria.

He added: Attacking innocent civilians is a barbaric act that Islam condemns and that is not approved by any law, code or religious Shariah, regardless of the identity of the perpetrators… Actually, the act of attacking civilians is condemned by all standards, whether it targeted the people in New York, Moscow, London, Madrid, Casablanca, Iraq, Pakistan or Afghanistan, for what it really represents is a flagrant aggression on the human life, which Allah has forbidden its ending without any right, regardless of its national, religious, or racial identity.

His Eminence continued: At a time we stress that these acts are forbidden and that Islam rejects them, we confirm the peoples' right of self-determination and call on all those concerned at the international level to exert every effort to preserve and enroot this right. We specifically stress on the right of the Palestinian people in liberating their land and self-determination. Thus, we call on the states that claim to be sparing no effort to ensure that international laws and human rights are respected and preserved…we call on them to carry out what they claim by facing the Zionist Israeli haughtiness and condemning the Israeli terrorism that is taking different forms and shapes and targeting the Palestinian people directly, as well as their land and sacred places.

His Eminence ended by emphasizing the necessity of diving deep into the roots and motives behind terrorism and embarking on treating them by rejecting all forms of occupation and facing them so as to protect the innocent from any offense or attack.
