Turkey, Iran, Syria, Egypt, United States of America

Fadlullah praised the Turkish – Iranian – Syrian movement and called on Egypt to join these efforts
His Eminence, the Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, said that Turkey and Iran, as rising countries, have the right to work for promoting their interests, emphasizing that both states ought to hold the banner of the Islamic issues and to alleviate the enormous security, social, and economic burdens defying the world.

He also lauded the Iranian – Turkish movement, as well as the preceding Turkish – Syrian movement, confirming that it is necessary for these states to look forward to an active role played by Egypt by joining these efforts; thus, restoring its authentic historic status. The Sayyed also said that no one could cancel the role of the other, unless he himself tends to eliminate his own role.

His Eminence hoped that the Turkish – Iranian – Syrian movement would establish a policy that would lead to the real independence of the region, by means of a basis that provides better circumstances for a political and economic cooperation, which would eventually lead to creating a model of independence to the nation.

He said: We used to, and still confirm, that any kind of proximity in the policies and political movements between one Islamic state and another, and between one Islamic movement and another, could be reflected as a strength in the Arab and Islamic reality, especially if the objectives of such proximity exceed the position of these two states or movements to reach out to other positions so as to achieve the goals of the entire nation.

Therefore, the openness in the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey that is led by the Justice and Development Party that has Islamic roots and essence… this openness is reflected as a vital lever that offers a significant service to the Islamic and Arab nation. It would also rehabilitate the Arabs and Muslims after the arrogant world had completely abandoned and marginalized them, and worked on looting their wealth and occupying their lands, and did not even consider them except as the best consuming markets to its industrial and technological products.

Thus, it is obvious and natural that Turkey and Iran, as two rising and determined states, would seek to promote their interests at the regional and international levels. The first, Turkey, which has proven, through its young leadership that is open to all the international and contemporary issues, is working in accordance with an integrated plan to solve all the economic issues that represented a big challenge to the country years ago. Turkey also dealt with the major dossiers of its relations with its Islamic neighborhood, as well as the Kurdish and Armenian crises, in addition to adopting the policy of refuting the arguments that the states of the European Union resorted to in order to prevent this rising Islamic state from joining it, camouflaged by arguments that only hide its [the European Union] real objectives.

The other state is the Islamic Republic of Iran that is still working, since the triumph of the revolution, to face the big regional and international challenges, support the resistance and liberation movements, and provide itself with economic, scientific, and security stability, and back the nation's major issues, headed by the Palestinian cause. Moreover, Iran is entitled to support its own reality as a state that seeks to shield itself amidst a region of colonial greeds and surrounded by foreign occupation or at least loaded with American and Western military bases.

Therefore, we prefer to see Turkey and Iran join hands and embrace the Arab and Islamic issues, and alleviate the enormous security, social, and economic burdens defying the world, especially vis-ΰ-vis the regression of the Western project that has resorted to the policy of fomenting sedition in the Islamic world, in order to provide itself with a new opportunity to return to the Arab and Islamic arena, and in terms of the dangerous increase of the phenomenon of Takfiri violence, as well as the religious, political, and intellectual exclusion of others. This phenomenon that is actually a product of the arrogant policies has turned into a very dangerous one, since it threatens the entire Islamic reality to the extent that it has become so hard to deem all this blood-shedding and savage violence as a reaction to the western occupation, because what we are witnessing are parties who cover up themselves under the banner of resistance, yet they kill their people in a rare savage way and with sadism that Islam could never realize or accept in any way to be referred to it [Islam] or to its principles and concepts.

On another level, we know that the arrogant states, at the top of which is the United States of America, worked on confiscating the Islamic and Arab security, and aimed at creating chaos in most of our countries, and left the places, which they have deluded the world that they have retreated from, enflamed with violence, and worked to nourish this violence in other regions, making use of the efforts exerted by certain regional parties to achieve their political goals based on the policy of political and sectarian division and fragmentation. Therefore, the Turkish – Iranian movement, whose results could not be far from those of the Turkish – Syrian movement, can help in protecting the Islamic and Arab security through a mutual political plan that ought to be established so as to fortify the region against all what could create instability, especially in Iraq. Therefore, everyone would reach the conclusion that the stability of Iraq and expelling the occupiers from it is the basis for the stability of the neighboring states and not the opposite. However, this conclusion ought to be solid so that it would lay the foundation for a balancing Arab and Islamic strength in the region that protects its peoples and represents a spearhead in the equations that are meant to have a real effect on the region, and so that these states would look forward to an active role played by Egypt and other countries by joining these efforts; thus, restoring their authentic historic status that is based in their Islamic, Arabic, and African roots, away from the Zionist ongoing attempts to drive them out of this strategic depth that represents their roots, horizons, and the future of their generations.

We want this Turkish – Iranian – Syrian movement to expand the scope of its movement and ensure everyone of the significance of the role awaiting them since no one could cancel the role of the other, unless he himself tends to eliminate his own role and end his movement. As a result, this would establish a policy that aims at granting the region a real independence by creating a strong base so as to provide the best conditions for political and economic cooperation. Eventually, this would lead to the creation of a model of independence that everyone gives a hand to produce rendering it the substitute of the model of occupation and hegemony or the model of Takfir and blood-shedding violence or the model of exceeding the limits of closing unproductive deals and squandering the peoples' wealth by offering them to the non-eligible greedy people in the inside and outside. Those people have always been the hands and the eye of the occupier and its tools in all what it has planned and is still planning for to further confiscate the region's fortunes and impoverish and humiliate the peoples and expel them from their own lands, just as happened and is still taking place with the oppressed Palestinian people.
