in his speech On the occasion of 10th of Muharram   :

Fadlullah Calls for Blood donation to the Palestinian  Mujahideen

After Listening to an account of the events of the Tenth of Muharram that witnessed the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (a.s.) his family and companions, The Religious Authority , H.E. Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah delivered a speech in which he called for donating blood to the wounded heroes of the Palestinian Intifada instead of hitting our heads in cold blood , because we want our blood to flow in the arteries  of the  Mujahideen .

He added that he believes that the Arab Summit that is going to be held in Beirut will be an ordinary one ,for the Arabs did not find  in all the terrorism , invasion and massacres  that is happening  in Palestine anything that warrants an exceptional meeting that adopts a unifying resolution that will give the Palestinians and all the Arabs  the political support  they need .

He expressed his firm conviction that the Intifada is capable of  liberating the Palestinian lands .and called on the Arabs to support it with all what they have …for history will not be kind to  you or to those who fail their peoples .

He emphasized that Ashoura in its essence a call  for unity …and that no sectarian or partisan  consideration justifies any internal strife. And warned against the conspiracies of Israeli agents to create strife and incite persecution .

He concluded that Ashoura is an occasion of unity which should never be used in to incite strife between Sunnis and Shiites , for Ashoura is a call for unity and struggle for the cause of Allah (swt)
