Receiving a delegation of the Iranian Parliament, Fadlullah stressed on conducting a dialogue with non-Muslim and Western women.

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received a delegation of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis), represented by Mrs. Iftikhari, and Mrs. Rahba, two members of the Majlis, and Ali Zadah, a member of the Iran's Assembly for Proximity Among Islamic Sects.

The delegation briefed the Sayyed about the woman’s movement in the Iranian society in general, especially in the Majlis. It also thanked the Sayyed for his stands that callfor giving the woman her big role along with the man in the Islamic society as well as in the political, social, cultural fields, …etc.

During the meeting, Fadlullah emphasized that the woman plays a fundamental role that is not less important than that of the man. He also stressed that the woman must be respected as a legal and political independent personality, indicating that her movement in the Islamic society, must be effective, while observing the Islamic legitimate limits.

His Eminence also emphasized that the Muslim woman must play the cultural and intellectual role that is required from her on the universal level through conducting a dialogue with non-Muslim and Western women and others in order to achieve valuable results.
