Fadlullah: America chose Lebanon as an alternative front to lessen its sufferance in Iraq

Fadlullah received the delegation of the National Organization for Supporting Unity and Refusing Occupation

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, emphasized that the factions of the noble Resistance in Lebanon, Palestine, and in Iraq can form a fundamental factor for unifying the nation, since they represent both Sunnites and Shiites. They represent the ambitions of the people as well as their yearning towards freedom, dignity, and liberating the land.

His Eminence said: The Sunni and Shiite religious scholars should work continuously – side by side – with all the nation's vigilant vanguards in order to establish a national unity relying especially on the factions of the Resistance and the parties that represent the conscious Islam that is open on the different sections of the nation.

His Eminence also saw that the rational parties in Lebanon were able to confront strife on both the Christian and Islamic levels since they know that being driven into the path of strife, may ruin everything and make the temple fall on the heads of all of us.

Sayyed Fadlullah received the delegation of the National Organization for Supporting Unity and Refusing Occupation, headed by Hassan Shalha, the Secretary of the organization, accompanied by the Religious Scholars: Sheik Hassan El-Masri, Sheik, Hasan Ghebrees and Sheik Maher Mezher, and Mr. Khaled Al-Rawas, Mr.Wagdi Geagea, Mr. Mohammad Kassim As-Sayyed, Mr. Mohammad Izz Eddine, Mr. Hussein Atweh, Imad Fahes ... During the meeting, His Eminence said: "We appreciate your movement and your initiative and you have to deploy the largest number of the Christian, Islamic and national activists and move together to find a solid basis to confront all projects of instigating strife. That is because I see that America wants to lessen the pressure on itself in Iraq through finding bases for instigating strife in more than one front. It also seems that the Lebanese front is one of the fronts that the US chose for achieving its goal.

And the question is: Do the Lebanese officials realize where America is taking them and the country to?
