Fadlullah, received Muhammad Rida Chebani, the Iranian Ambassador to
Beirut, and discussed with him the general situations in Lebanon and the
region.
The discussion focused on of the Security Council
Resolution to impose sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program. His
Eminence stressed that the so-called “International Legitimacy” adopts

nuclear weapons or on the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.

that Iran is not a party in the internal Lebanese crisis, although it
represents a true party in the nation’s issues through its standing
against the American and Israeli occupations. Iran has always sought to
affirm the nation’s right to be free and independent and to confront the
attempts to usurp the nation’s resources and wealth. He also called upon
the Lebanese officials not to offend Iran and not to plunge its name or
that of other’s in the internal Lebanese affairs. He also emphasized the
importance of strengthening the Iranian-Saudi relations and the
Iranian-Egyptian relations that will positively reflect on the entire
nation, especially Lebanon.
