The meeting touched on the recent internal developments as well as the latest stands of the local parties on the light of the regional situation, in addition to evaluating the international and regional stands regarding the Lebanese crisis.

His Eminence warned against a state of chaos in Lebanon that could spread to other Arab countries. The delegation also praised the Sayyed's stands, stressing his call for a Muslim-Muslim dialogue, especially among the Shiite and the Salafi sects and indicated that Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed such stands and calls that leave a positive impression on many Islamic positions.

His Eminence also reiterated his warnings against the US interference in Lebanon's political affairs, the last of which is the American stand regarding the presidential elections. He also indicated that the US interference will lead to more political tensions and will widen the gap between the Lebanese people, and will threaten all efforts to salvage the country from its current crisis.

His Eminence stressed that the American Administration is using Lebanon to pressure Arab countries to cooperate with it on the Iraqi issue and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He added that America wants to suggest that it has not lost its ongoing capacity to manipulate political and security aspects, despite the failure of its regional project, and its persistent desire to drag the remaining Arab and Islamic fronts into the tunnel of chaos, which it portrays as beneficial.
