The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel-Aziz Khoja and discussed with him the general situations in Lebanon and the region. The talks focused on the role of the Saudi Arabia in containing the political tension in Lebanon and paving the way for potential solutions. In addition, the talks touched on the role of the other Arab and Islamic countries in resolving the crisis in Lebanon.

His Eminence emphasized that all parties should hold their responsibilities, especially, in preserving the Islamic unity between the Shiite and Sunni sects as a fundamental basis for the unity of the country and the entire nation.

His Eminence also received Hasan Haballah, the Lebanese MP, and discussed with him the latest developments.
