Sayyed Fadlullah: The American role in Lebanon is hindering the solution and attracting other roles

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, stressed that the role the US is playing still represents an obstacle for solving the crisis in Lebanon because of its direct intervention and its attempts to attract more roles. H.E also emphasized that other foreign countries must unhand Lebanon in order to let the Lebanese reach a consensus by themselves.

Sayyed Fadlullah, received the Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, Aud Lise Norheim, accompanied by Martin Eterfek, a counselor in the embassy, and discussed with them the Norwegian-Lebanese relations, the Norwegian-Muslim relations as well as the role played by the Arab and Muslim communities in Norway.

During the meeting, the Ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing the relations between Norway and the Muslim and Arab countries, especially Lebanon. She also praised Sayyed Fadlullah's suggestions to bring closer the viewpoints of the different feudal parties on the political and religious levels, emphasizing that there is no alternative for dialogue as an essential condition for reaching an understanding among the peoples, countries and parties.

On his part, Sayyed Fadlullah confirmed the importance of the role played by the Arab and Muslim communities in strengthening the relations between the Arabs and Muslims on one hand, and between the west on the other hand, especially in the Scandinavian countries. H.E. also touched on the instructions that he usually gives to his representatives and followers in the west to engage themselves in the line of dialogue that leads to the humanitarian understanding and the civilized interaction, far away from the methods of violence that are adopted by some parties, whether through offensive and harsh words, or through suicidal operations or the uncivilized practices.

The meeting also focused on the situation in Lebanon in which His Eminence stressed that all countries must shoulder their responsibilities towards Lebanon, especially those countries that are still supporting some parties at the expense of others, and thus complicating the Lebanese crisis.

His Eminence confirmed that the American role in Lebanon that is still intervening in the details of the Lebanese affairs and presenting itself as a contributing party that is working on solving the crisis in Lebanon… such a role represents a big problem and a major obstacle because of its direct intervention in the Lebanese internal affairs and its attempts to impose its conditions on the Lebanese people, or on a certain Lebanese party. This role is even attracting other roles to intervene in the Lebanese internal crisis sometimes under the title of not intervening and sometimes through pressuring on other countries to intervene.

Moreover, The Sayyed called upon the foreign countries to unhand Lebanon in order to let the Lebanese reach internal consensus by themselves, far away from all international and regional interventions.
