Fadlullah receiving the Secretary General of Hezbollah:
A need for political balance to withdraw from stability and "street" complications

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

They discussed for two hours the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the political prospects for the Resistance movements in the light of the plans of the American occupation to lay the foundations of the internal division in Iraq that the occupation itself created.

They also discussed the situation in occupied Palestine, and how to support the unity and the steadfastness of the Palestinians, on the political, security and economic levels, in the face of the Israeli occupation, practices and plots.

Sayyed Fadlullah and Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized the need to make all efforts to protect Islamic unity and thwart all plans and plots to incite strife between Sunnis and Shiites, especially in Lebanon.

They emphasized that the unity of Muslims in Lebanon as the fundamental support for the Lebanese unity, regardless of the political circumstances and developments that might suggest otherwise.

In the meeting, Sayyed Fadlullah stressed the need on the Lebanese level, to relief the escalating political tension. He pointed out to the importance of creating a state of political balance in which one party would put an end to its political stubbornness, which would lead to the withdrawal of the other political and "street" complications, and pave the way for realistic solutions that would undermine the efforts of the external powers that seek to drive Lebanon to the inflamed political and security situation in the region, while claiming that they are trying to help Lebanon to overcome its crisis.
