The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah received a delegation of the "International Center for Islamic Studies in Qom" (ICISQ), headed by Sheikh Mustapha Mohami. The delegation congratulated His Eminence. In the occasion of celebrating the anniversary of the victory over the Israeli enemy and briefed him about the activities of the center and its attempts to renew the curriculum of the Hawza (religious schools) and add new specializations in the humanitarian and other sciences from an Islamic perspective.

His Eminence encouraged the Center to modernize the Hawza through joining between the Hawza's demands and the new university methodology through developing the methodologies of education in the Hawzas.

His Eminence stressed that it is important for the Hawzas to be contemporary, not only on the level of curriculums, but also on the level of the movement and methodology. They should also stay away from exaggerations that help in distorting the image of Islam. H.E emphasized the need for an ongoing and permanent work for raising the educational and intellectual levels in the Hawzas in order to confront the false accusations made by some anti-Islam intellectual schools.

The Sayyed also indicated that the cultural attack against Islam should be confronted by a continuous mobilization on the Islamic awareness level, in which the Hawzas hold a big responsibility, pointing out that the educational and intellectual challenges demand a broad and profound study as well as scientific disproofs, through specialists from the Hawza scholars or others.

Moreover, His Eminence emphasized that we should not be engrossed in the military and political aspects only, even though these aspects have a great importance on the level of confronting the anti-attack as well as on the military level when the war is imposed on us. That is because we consider that there are cultural battles that call on us to study our heritage and purify it on the one hand and to study the other's heritage as well as their offensive and defensive cultural means on the other hand. We should also achieve the great victories on the cultural front like the military victory that was achieved over the Zionist enemy in that last war.

The Sayyed called upon the Hawzas to assume the responsibility of the Muslim-Muslim dialogue, in view of the failure of the conferences to conduct a scientific dialogue especially that the American Administration has succeeded in instigating strife among Muslims in more than one position.
