Sayyed Fadlullah calls for taking the country out of the bottleneck

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received a delegation of university students from the South. The journalist Abbass Al-Muallem spoke on behalf of the delegation, he said: "Sayyed Fadlullah represents a common Religious Authority that unites all Lebanese, and from his spiritual position, he plays an effective role in preserving the unity of our nation and protecting the Resistance despite all campaigns and pressures that H.E. encountered."

The Sayyed emphasized the role of the university youth in unifying the country far away from all sectarian and factional barriers. He also talked about the complications of the Lebanese crisis, criticizing the American interference in the Lebanese internal affairs, and saying that: "Contrary to what it claims, the American Administration does not endorse a consensus, and rather opposes all reconciliation initiatives".

H.E. added: "The clashes in political rhetoric is a result of the contradictory projects in which each party presents its point of view in an acute manner without engaging in a dialogue that leads to agreeing on the common factors that have to approach the different points of view, because there is a someone who is controlling the game from a remote place and does not want Lebanon to reach an internal solution for its crisis, before he draws the detailed lines of this game on the regional level."

"Therefore, we should seek to thwart the attempts that aim at hindering the solution in Lebanon and devastate the projects of those who want to spoil the relations between the Lebanese. If there is someone who says that no one can ruin the game of the major players, we say that the junior players, who are not able to ruin the house, can spoil the internal décor.

We are not calling for chaos, but rather we are calling for devastating the American project in the region in order not to let its chaos and turmoil extend to all Arab and Muslim countries."

The Sayyed also said: "I call for a close Lebanese – Lebanese dialogue that has to restrain all kinds of accusations and lead to internal agreements, especially that the time is running fast and we are now facing difficult choices, either to plunge the country into the mazes or to take it out of the bottleneck.

H.E. added: When we call for such a dialogue, we will be calling for a dialogue that leads to studying the issues objectively and not to record points against one another, since we feel that there are those who are suggesting dialogue to waste time and not to reach positive results and fundamental solutions.

In the end, The Sayyed said: We are in need of a practical movement made by the university students of Lebanon on the educational and ideological levels because we want our educated and conscious youth to be a force for change in Lebanon that never abandons its commitments towards the Arabs and Muslims and that is open on others as well as on all humanitarian issues in the entire world.
