The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received a Kuwaiti official and popular delegation, headed by Dr. Yusuf Zalzalah, a former minister, and Jawad Bnkhamsein a businessman.

The delegation congratulated the Lebanese people, and expressed their readiness to support them, with all the Kuwaiti resources, then, Fadlullah addressed the delegation saying.

The Kuwaiti people have contributed before the war in supporting the social, health and charity institutions in Lebanon especially in view of the Lebanese economic crisis. It then stood with our people during the Israeli aggression that destroyed the infrastructure and killed the civilians. The Lebanese, thus, are thankful to their brothers in Kuwait, for their gracious stand of standing with their Lebanese brothers and sisters.

The Sayyed added: Despite the Israeli brutality that created several tragedies, the victory that was achieved has restored the Islamic spirit and revitalized the nation as we saw in that movement that shook the Arab and Muslim world. The people spontaneously stood with this honorable Resistance.

The value of this victory lies, therefore in the Islamic spirit it produced and led to its reemergence after the people were led to be preoccupied in their internal and local affairs.

The Sayyed added: This history has made a new history for us, since for the first time in the history of the struggle with Israel, the enemy is not only defected but it also admits its defeat. In 2000 it only acknowledged that it fled Lebanon but it did not admit an outright military defeat.

His Eminence stressed on the importance of consolidating this victory by strengthening the Islamic unity and urging the nation to confront the Israeli continuous threats.
