The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received on the 12th of September, 2006, a Kuwaiti delegation including a number of scholars, university professors, political and social activists and reporters.

His Eminence thanked the Kuwaiti people and government for supporting Lebanon and its Resistance, during and after the Israeli aggression.

He added that: We were following this great Islamic and Arabic stand in confronting the American-Israeli war that equivalent to a World War against Islam and Muslims as well as against the Resistance and Lebanon.

His Eminence also highlighted the positive results of this war especially its significant effects that strengthened the Muslims’ unity. He said: “The Resistance achieved a lot for the dignity of the nation’s movement through this war. Hence, the Resistance proved the falsehood of the axiom of the Israeli deterrent and strategic power for the first time.

He added that: This victory is absolutely a victory for Islam and Muslims and it is the same as the victory of “Badir” where Muslims were able to achieve the balance with the Koraishi power. Thus, in this battle, the Mujahedeen confirmed that there is a power that is able to face Israel.

He added that: The stand of the Arab and Muslim region was a good one because this region was hungry for any victory after America defeated it. Therefore, the Resistance worked on regaining the spirit of victory and confronting the American-Israeli project.
