Since very early the morning, groups of pilgrims began to visit the
Hajj mission of The Religious Authority Sayyed Fadlullah in Mecca.
The mission received pilgrims coming from all parts of the world
including America Europe, Australian Lebanon and the Gulf states
headed by several political and religious leaders .
He also received the Kazim Campaign from Bahrain. He addressed
the pilgrims expressing his appreciation of the people of Bahrain
who have produced several religious scholars who have enriched the
literature and Jurisprudence culture and political awareness of the
Bahrainis.
Sayyed Fadlullah said:
Our reasonability is the same as that of the Prophet: to convey
Islam to the people, to change their minds and fill their hearts
with mercy. The Messenger used to live with the people who filled
his heart and mind. Therefore, each and every one of us should be
Muhammad even if at rate of one percent. Let us renew ourselves,
renew our morals by his words, our faithfulness with his
faithfulness.
We are in era where the arrogant and the infidel are launching
a war against Islam to the extent that we have been hearing some
voices in the Muslim world and even within the Islamic movements
that say that we don't want any Islamic or religious state because
the West does not accept it. And they are exerting political,
cultural and economic pressures on all Islamic countries to ensure
that its policies or culture are not Islamic.
God wants us to be free. And Imam Ali has explained that you
should not be slaved to others since Allah has created us free.
This freedom is not a political slogan that we remember in
demonstrations. It is a value that we live in our souls and minds,
especially when we are faced with big challenges, as big as the one
we face today.
Thus, we have to uphold our responsibility and study all our weak
points and turn them to points of strength.
Sayyed Fadlullah called also for strengthening Islamic unity
calling on solving all differences by referring them to God and His
Messenger. He emphasized that cursing and insulting will not solve
these differences but rather aggravate them . He drew the attention
to the fact that the Muslim unity is more important at this stage
since international arrogance and disbelief are trying to incite and
drive Muslims to fight one another.
They are making all plans and using all means to reach this goal.
We in return have to thwart these plans, and seek to preserve Islam.
Sayyed Fadlullah received several Iraqi Hajj missions, as well as
Iraqi religious scholars, and heads of tribes.
In the afternoon, he received a delegation of the Huzbullah Hajj
mission headed by Sheik Muhammad Yazbik, and they discussed the
Islamic general affairs.
Sayyed Fadlullah's mission sent several delegations to visit the
Hajj campaigns from the Muslim and migration countries including
the Takwa campaign that came from London and the Sharaf campaign,
the Mahfouz campaign and the Labiak campaigs from Bahrain and the
Wasilat Annajat campaign from Canada

Sayyed Fadlullah received a delegation
from the Iraqi mission headed by Sheik Khaled Atteih, and a
delegation of the mission of Ayatollah Sheik Yusuf Assanii and
discussed with them various Muslim affairs.
He also met a number of religious
scholars from Iraq, Iran, and the Gulf including Sayyed Mahmoud Al-Guraifi
Shiekh Murtada As-Said. Sheikh Jamil Al-Rubayi, (Dalya), Sayyed Ali
Miyali (Samawa), Sayyed Ammar Al-Musawi and Mr. Muhammad Az-Zabaidi.
The mission was also visited by
delegations from the following campaigns Bab Al-Rayan.
German pilgrims of Safa and Safwa
campaigns Umani pilgrims of Tawhied campaigns American pilgrims from
the Salam campaign and several Moroccan Tunisian and Algerian
pilgrims.
The Sayyed addressed the pilgrims with
a long speech in which he said: We are here in these purified lands
to renew ourselves with Islam. People now no longer live Islam,
justice and leniency. Most of the now live disbelief, arrogance and
violence. They are influenced by the anti-Islamic thought in the
media, which fills our hearts with feelings that are not Islamic and
our lives with Western traditions the others have imposed on us.
Islam has turned into rituals that
might not be lively and opening up. Our relations with the Messenger
and the Imams of Ahlul Beit, became a subjective one, which we do
not live as a message.
Our responsibility, as Muslim religious
scholars, is to open upon the world. Our responsibility as
intellectuals is to promote Islamic, culture, our responsibility as
Muslim workers who travel in the world is make Islam our sole
concern, especially in this stage which is marked by the arrogant
and disbelief attack on the believers and the downtrodden.
In this stage, there are several
research centers in the West that are fighting Islam on the cultural
level, just as the administration is fighting it politically,
economically, and militarily to dominate over the Muslims’ mind,
future and resources. What is our responsibility towards all this?
Our responsibility is to protect Islam, each according to his
abilities and potentials. We should uphold our responsibilities
towards Islam by calling, protecting, promoting our unity and
increasing our awareness. We should understand what is lying behind
what the others are thinking about, and all their plans that aim at
our fall.
Therefore, we need, and let us think
about it very deeply, to relive the first call of the Messenger, and
the way he faced unbelief, and the way he was hurt like no other
prophet. We have to pledge our loyalty, yet again, to the Messenger
and tell him what we are with him and that we profess that he is the
Messenger of Allah and that the Quran in Allah's Books.
We were not with you when you were
alive, but we will be with you in your Message. You are not away
from us, we testify for you in our prayers and we want to testify
for you in our struggle and in all our actions. We will not tell you
as Musa's people told him: God fight with your god, and we are going
to sit here. But we will tell you what that great companion of
Muhammad said :”Go and fight with your God and we will fight with
you." Each carrying his cultural political and security weapon, for
there is no room for being neutral, for every one who isolates
himself from the arena is a traitor.
Let each us be the Muslims whom Islam
is embodied in his mind ,soul, heart and actions. In these times
that all "parties" have waged a battle against us, we need Imam Ali
in his awareness spirit, firmness, struggle and stand with Right.
All those who stand with political, cultural and security falsehood
are not with Ali (a.s.). He only accepts those who stand with the
right and he used to say that the right left him no friends. It is
unfortunate that many of us say to those who cling to the right,
that you will be condemned and accused, so you better not stand
against the mounting tide.
International arrogance is fighting us
throughout the Arab and Muslim world in Iraq, Palestine and
Afghanistan. We have to learn how to prepare our weapons and how to
strengthen our willpower... How to be dedicated to the cause… We
have to learn how to renew our pledge of loyalty to the Messenger(p.)...
How to be inspired by him as he was destroyed the idols in the
Sacred House. The House to day is the Islamic world and we have to
destroy all the idols that are worshipped instead of God on all
political and cultural lives. The greatness of the Messenger was
represented in that he did not care for himself. He was dedicated to
the Message and to the struggle for the cause. Could we be liberated
and dedicated to the Message. Let your pilgrimage seek to achieve
this goal.
In Iraq, all the operations that target
civilians in their mosques markets and homes or the security
officials and policemen are no way a resistance.
They are brutal actions that serve the
occupier, as they destabilize the security giving the occupier an
excuse to stay. They also prevent Iraq from acquiring force and this
is what America wants.
We believe in Resistance and we fought
the occupier in Palestine and Lebanon, and we were the first Islamic
group to defeat Israel and force it to withdraw unconditionally…
And we call on the Muslims to follow
our lead. But we are not with those who accuse others of disbelief
because we do not believe it is lawful to kill your Muslim brother. |

In his address to the large number of
pilgrims that visited the his headquarters, H. E. Sayyed Muhammad
Hussein Fadlullah drew the attention to the on-going debate about
the methods that Muslims ought to use and asked whether it is
violence or leniency. He explained that Islam has called for
leniency…
Sayyed Fadlullah drew the attention to
the fact that Allah says to His Messenger that he was lenient to his
people and that had he been cruel, they would have not listened.
Imam Ali too was lenient, for although he was a caliph, he asked the
people to criticize him, despite the fact that he was infallible. I
could even say that he was, more that: He was the man who sold
himself to God. He did not live to himself, but he dedicated his
life to the Message. And this is the line that ought to be followed
by all who assume a leading role, whether religious, political or
social, for in the end they all serve the people.
Islam does not legitimize violence
except in legitimate Jihad or self-defense. That is why we stood
against all the explosions in the West.
If we are against the American
Administration, it does not follow that we ought to fight it in this
way. But we call for Jihad in Palestine, for the Palestinians are
not a violent people, they are a people that seeks freedom from the
Zionist oppression. And the only means available for them to defend
themselves is martyr operations.
But we are not with those apostators in
all their crimes and massacres, especially the last and ugly one
that took place in front of Imam Hussein's shrine and killed a lot
of children, women youth and the elderly… These people are not
resisting; they are serving the occupier because they are helping
him to stay longer in Iraq. Any body that says that they are a
resistance does not understand what resistance means.
The battle is not in Karbala, nor
Kazimiah, Ramadi or any other city. It is in confronting the
occupier face to face in Palestine and in every occupied Islamic
country.
The Sayyed answered a question
regarding his interview with Al-Jazeera news channel, he denied that
it has undermined the image of the Shiite religious authority, and
added that it has benefited both Islam and the Shiite religious
authority. And called for taking advantage of such media outlets to
convey our message to the people. |
