Commenting on the recent bloody events in Pakistan and India, Sayyed Fadlallah calls on Muslim Scholars to bear their responsibility in promoting love and unity.

In this regard, the religious authority H.E. Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah said: The problem of the Sunnis in Pakistan is not the Shiites, and the problem of the Shiites is not the Sunnis… The problem of the Muslims and all the weakened is the International arrogance, especially America, that wants to put its hands on their resources, and that stands behind the persecution and internal strife in their countries. Sayyed Fadlallah called on Sunni and Shiite religious scholars to uphold their responsibility, and expose all those who try to undermine the Islamic unity and to do their best and make every possible effort  to promote dialogue and love between all Muslims so as to solve their differences by referring them  to Allah and His Messenger.

His Eminence called upon the Indian Authorities to bear their responsibilities in protecting the Indian Muslims against any aggression, underscoring the fact that problems cannot be solved by spontaneous reactions, but  by trying to contain  and isolating them. This could be done when India goes back to continue its prestigious past as a country that stands against arrogance and with all the oppressed and weakened in the world, and not a country in which man is persecuted, be he a Muslim or not.
