 Fadlullah: The Resistance will prevent the out break of civil war and internal strife

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, issued a statement in which he refuted the prediction that Iraq, Palestine, and Lebanon are going to witness civil wars. He said:

“It is really noticeable that the declarations which indicate that Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine are going to witness civil wars, are issued by those who had tried before to promote the term of the “Shiite crescent”. Through these declarations, they are trying to show the whole world that the Arab or the Islamic region is in a state of an internal strife, while, on the other hand, they do not take into consideration the problem that lies in the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the American occupation of Iraq and the US interference in the internal projects of the regional states. Hence, the American interference in the region’s issues, even the marginal ones, absolutely proves that America is seeking to kill all the chances that may provide internal stability in the region.

He added that: “Actually, we notice that America is nourishing all states of political or sectarian violence in the region. This is because the American Administration sought to nourish them in order to carryout the prediction of its President about the “constructive chaos”. Then, it turned back and worked on encouraging the choices of violence. Hence, it uses these choices as one of its means to cover its failure in the regions or as one of the solutions that makes the Americans flee from Iraq based on the policy of the burnt land, after paving the way for the inner strife to take place.

We fear that talking about civil war aims at putting the region between two options: either to accept the violent occupation of Iraq and Palestine… this occupation that is looking forward to take control over all the energy fields and the strategic sites, or to be prepared for several civil wars that relieve America and Israel… the latter choice have always been one of the fundamental options for the colonialists and arrogant, especially, when they fail to achieve their colonial plans and satanic projects…

Consequently, the nation should not fall down in front of this alarmisms because it is the nation that possesses vital potentials, not only on the level of its natural wealth, but also on the level of its people and youths who were able to defeat the occupation in more than one front, especially, in Lebanon and Palestine. Thus, if this nation is obliged to choose between occupation and civil war, it must choose the option of resisting, conquering the occupation, and kicking it out of our occupied countries in order to break all the attempts that aim at provoking internal strife, because, we know that the occupation of Palestine and Iraq works on creating all the atmospheres that pave they way for civil wars and internal strife to take place in the region.”

In the end, His Eminence said that: “At a time we recognize that civil war is one of the American-Israeli ambitions, we feel that there exist in the nation, several well-fortified fronts that prevented and is still preventing the outbreak of civil war and internal strife, whether through the direct confrontation against the occupation or fighting against the nation’s enemies, or through working on uniting the nation’s sects, especially, the Shiites and Sunni ones. In this way, all the people of the nation will start to lunch the march for defending Islam and retrieving the nation’s usurped rights. They will also prevent the political disputes from being presented in a political context, because the profound problem in essence is between those who are seeking to provide the adequate conditions in order to give success to the American-Israeli project and those who are trying to fail this project.”
