Israel, along with America, is the one who is drawing the map of the Arab leaders' political movement

Fadlullah: The Arab leaders insist on following the path of the political impotence

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, issued a statement in which he criticized the latest visits of the Arab leaders to the enemy's entity. He said:

The Arab openness on Israel, including that made under the umbrella of the Arab League, will neither make peace in the region nor soothe the sufferance of the Palestinian people, or force Israel to cease its daily aggressions against the Palestinians that are represented by assassinations, detentions or by the economic and starving besiege.

He added: Israel is preparing for waging a new war and is rebuilding its strategic infrastructure that was targeted in more than one position during its war on Lebanon. It does not hold any olive branch and does not look for a real peace with the Arabs in which some Arab and Palestinian rights might be regained. Besides, Israel does not have anything to offer to the Arabs who are visiting it, except the promises that have to invite new Arab offers and wider normalization without giving the Palestinians a real state.

He added: Israel, whose Prime Minister is talking about his absolute opposition for the returning back of the refugees to their homes and about preserving the big settlements blocs, will prevent any political game and will never get out of the line that it drew with America concerning the Palestinian issue. Olmert has clearly said that Israel is the one who leads and takes the initiative, indicating that the enemy, along with America, is the one who draws the map of the political movement in the region, including the Arab movement.

In the end, His Eminence said: Our problem lies in this political misery that does not look for any way or means to take advantage of the manifest victories and the enemy's failures. This problem also lies in the Arab leaders who insist on following the path of the political impotence in front of the enemy in order to give preference to all the marginal issues over the basic issues in the political performance and the national work.
