The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, expressed his worries from those who are afraid of the victory and its consequences and are acting with a defeated and weak spirit.

His Eminence said: The Israelis themselves confessed that the Resistance achieved victory over them. However, this victory must be followed by a political, constructional, social and diplomatic movement, whereas, the government did not carry out its duty and was not responsible towards its citizens. Also, it did not stave off the political and diplomatic counterattack at a time Lebanon is facing an American-Israeli intimidation campaign. This campaign is veiled and adopted by some international officials in an attempt to impose new conditions on Lebanon in order to reduce the glow of victory inside Lebanon and to prevent this victory from spreading into the Arab and Islamic region. Nevertheless, we did not see any serious stand from the government’s officials to refute these attempts.

His Eminence saw that some people in the Arab region are working for Israel’s interest and are engaged in the blockade imposed on Lebanon. He also wondered about the reality of the role played by the Jordanian authorities in this respect. His Eminence indicated that some are afraid of the consequences of the victory; therefore, they are playing the role of policemen for the Israel's interest. At the same time, His Eminence was astonished because the Lebanese government did not comment on these reactions since it claims that it wants to keep its sovereignty and independence.

His Eminence wondered: How do some people in Lebanon consider the arms of the Resistance a problem that stands between the state and its sovereignty. Those people do not take into consideration, the threat of the blockade imposed on Lebanon that is in fact a great offense and an aggression on its sovereignty being an attempt to force Lebanon to give up its simplest terms of dignity, freedom and sovereignty.

He added that: The arms of the Resistance were a response on the Israeli shelling and aggression that destroyed the houses over the heads of their residents in more than one country, especially, in Qana. It is also a response to the enemies’ warplanes that chased the civilians in their cars, markets, jobs. Thus, the Israeli aggressions are a model of cruelty that performed a horrific revengeful operation against the people who refused to get rid of the Resistance. However, this Resistance has a great authenticity, honor and steadfastness and proved that it is qualified to be a superior model at the national level.

He also stated that: We consider that the call for disarming the arms of the Resistance is a form of weakening the power of both the Resistance and the Lebanese army in a way or another. Nevertheless, the Lebanese army should continue to oppose the occupation and the Resistance should, in its turn, facilitate the movement of this army in order to prevent the enemy from breaking the interior Lebanese front at any time, especially that the Israeli enemy is talking about coming rounds and persists in returning the result of the battlefield because its forces were defeated at more than one level.

His Eminence emphasized that the Resistance has never thought to stand-in the place of the Lebanese army or to oppose it, or even to be a state within a state. Therefore, everyone is obliged to appreciate the national responsibility of the Resistance and must continue the interior dialogue instead of lunching campaigns of treason and political indictments.

His Eminence asked the American President who talks about human rights: Does the Israeli blockade on the Lebanese ports and airport in addition to preventing the Lebanese from importing their essential needs, especially, the energy resources, is an expression of human right? If Israel claims that it has the right to defend itself, do not the Lebanese people also have the right to defend themselves against Israel that continues to violate the resolution 1701?

His Eminence addressed the American President saying: Your problem is that you have fallen before Israel and you are not opened to people, because you are not a human being. Thus, your problem is with those who surround you and encourage you to destruct the whole world through wars that you call preemptive wars, whereas, these wars are terroristic wars that represent absolute insanity and crime.
