Playing Arab contradictions one against the other does not benefit the Lebanese

We have entered the danger Zone in which the very fate of the country and not only its foreseeable future is endangered

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah warned the Lebanese from playing one Arab party against the other, saying it will not benefit the Lebanese and added that the American Administration is trying to create an atmosphere of acute division to further disperse the Arabs and drive them to conduct a dialogue with Israel.

He also expressed his anxiousness towards the situation in Lebanon that has entered the danger zone due to adopting the option of the "worst", to the extent that the country's fate is now in danger and not only its foreseeable future.

His Eminence said:

Lebanon has entered the danger zone...following the social and economic difficulties, and the political conflict that is becoming more and more acute as a result of the verbal political accusations which have revealed that there are some in Lebanon who insist on using the "worst words", in an attempt to distort the people's mentality and agitate their political sectarian and even tribal fanaticisms, even if it leads to a state of complete anarchy and leads to a dark future not only on the level of the near future but also the fate of the country itself, especially that many parties continue to put all their stakes on outside powers that only seek to promote their own interests, and do not have any mercy on this small country.

We are about to enter a stage of political turmoil with the country at the crossroads of several rough regional and international routes, and due to the American Administration’s insistence on preserving its position in Lebanon to save face after all the losses it had encountered in the region. That is why it is tempering with the internal Arab relations and trying to distort the Arab relations with the Muslim countries to drive the "Moderate" Arabs towards the highest levels of normalization with Israel, to the extent of founding a joint front with the Zionist entity.

Some Arabs are not taking this American game into consideration, and they continue to make negative statements that complicate the Arab internal relations regardless of how it affects the general Arab interests. In addition, the personal relations between the Arabs leaders are further complicating these relations.

We are afraid of how acute these divisions have grown, because they represent the new American weapon of creating constructive chaos that serves American and Israeli interests and probably even creating an Arab version of America’s neoconservatives. And that these developments will lead some of the Arab regimes to move closer towards Israel, and far away from their social political and religious fabric.

This is because the US is encouraging them to open secret or public channels of dialogue between the Arabs and Israel and closing all channels of internal dialogue among them, especially in Palestine where openness on Hamas is a kind of treason that would be followed by a certain punishment while isolating it will be rewarded.

We want the Arab to be aware of the consequences of this line which will distort all elements of stability both between the Arab countries and inside every country; Israel and American will be the only winners.

That is why we ask all who have a sense of responsibility left towards his future and that of his nation and country, to try to close this gap before the temple falls on all of us.

We also say to the Lebanese that playing one Arab regime against the other will not benefit them; rather it will only increase their problems.

They should act responsibly and refrain from taking sides through their arbitrary rhetoric. They should act as fireman to put off the internal political fires, thus creating a calm atmosphere that might open a window of opportunity to create a political oasis in the Arab and Muslim desert.
