The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah announced that next Friday the 12th of October 2007, is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. May Allah make it a day of blessing, good, freedom, victory, and dignity for all Lebanese and Muslims in the entire world.

His Eminence issued the following statement:

It has been jurisprudentially proven to us that Friday the 12th of October 2007 is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. Our Fatwa is based on the birth of the crescent and the possibility of seeing it in any region that we share with a part of the night. And since these conditions have been met in some places of the world, namely South America, we have ruled that the Eid is on Friday. May Allah make it a day of blessing, good, victory, freedom, for the Lebanese, the Arabs and the entire Muslim world.

May Allah grant us success.

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
