Fadlullah's communiqué regarding Winograd commission's report
The Israeli failure could have inflicted a big
catastrophe on the enemy were it not for a great international support
Fadlullah calls the Lebanese Judges to learn from
the Israeli Judges
The Religious Authority, Sayyed Hassan
Nasrallah, released a statement in which he dealt with Winograd
commission's report on the July war. H.E. said:
As we follow up what the enemy's entity is issuing, we should not
forget that what had led to these results that showed the Israeli
failure, is the Resistance's courage that is represented by the local
defeats that hit the enemy consecutively all through the last July
war. That is because the Resistance's capability to torment the enemy
continuously and progressively in addition to the Mujahideen's
patience despite the violent battles and the long time, is what made
the victory, through drawing the difference between the man of the
message and the cause and the man who relies on the machine with its
lethal technologies.
H.E. added: The Winograd report indirectly shows that the Israeli
failure in its handling of the last summer's war could have inflicted
a big catastrophe on the enemy were it not for the great international
support that worked on protecting the Zionist entity, such as the
Resolution 1701 and other actions that were taken by the Security
Council to give Israel political guarantees and veil the mass of the
Israeli human and military losses.
The Israeli failure and the internal Israeli changes could have
been used as a strategic weapon in the hand of the Arabs in order to
get rid – at least – of the American pressures and preserve the Arab
dignity. But it is astonishing that most of the Arabs were afraid of
the Resistance's victory. Thus, they rushed to prevent it from
affecting their peoples. They also hastened to extend their hands to
the Israeli enemy so that the Israeli failure would not reveal their
weakness.
The Sayyed also said: Despite all what has been achieved, we should
realize that the enemy's failure must not make us feel that the enemy
has been fallen by a coup de grace or that it can no longer rebuild
its army and launch a new offensive on Lebanon. We have to know that
the enemy's entity represents a state of institutions that works in no
time on correcting its faults, amending its plans and solving its
problems to launch new offensive rounds. For that reason, all the
Lebanese, especially the Resistance, should be always ready to face
the enemy's plans and prepare counter ones. Besides, all those who
seek to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and independence, should not
instigate negative talk about the resistance's weapons – while they
are watching the almost daily violations of the Lebanese airspace –
because the Resistance's weapons have a national job that is essential
in the next stage. Moreover, those who have comments on the political
or non political performance of the Resistance, should not present
their comments except within the internal national frames that protect
the country and preserve the future of the nation and its generations.
In addition, it was also proved to all people that Lebanon that is
strong in its resistance can be more powerful in its unity that can be
reestablished in the light of many internal facts and through the
thunderous Israeli recognition of the failure that is matched only by
the American failure in the region.
In the end, The Sayyed said: At the same time, we urge all people
in the Arab and Islamic world and in Lebanon, to benefit from the
Israeli lesson and to learn from the enemy how it works on protecting
its entity internally through the mechanisms that force the biggest
official in the state to be responsible for his mistakes, pay the
price before his people and yield to the judge whom he had appointed
and who did not refrain from describing him as an inexperienced,
negligent and a failing prime minister. Besides, the judge also
accused the Israeli government as responsible for the defeat.
All that is considered as a message to our countries, peoples and
judges: to learn from our enemies and understand that the judicial
institution represents the well-fortified tower of any state on
condition that it does not submit to politicians… Accordingly, we call
upon the judges in Lebanon to be responsible and faithful in
preserving the state, and not to be sincere to this faction or that
confessional leadership, nor to follow this or that official in the
mazes of the sectarian regime in which the institutions are being
destroyed for the interest of some persons or sects.
