The Religious Authority, Ayatullah Al Ozma Sayyed M.
H. Fadlullah, received in his house, in Harat Huraik, the British
Ambassador to Lebanon, James Watt. Discussions included the situation and
the developments in Lebanon and the region. They also touched on the
conditions of Muslim Communities in Europe in the aftermath of the London
bombings. Sayyed Fadlullah called for the respect of the rights of these
communities, and praised certain official and nonofficial British stands
that called for the respect of Islam and the rights of Muslim citizens
Sayyed Fadlullah stressed the need for a more decisive
EU stand towards the Palestinian cause, and Israeli racial and terrorist
practices.
Regarding the Iranian nuclear program, Sayyed
Fadlullah emphasized the right of the Islamic republic to use the nuclear
power for peaceful purposes, and called for the disarmament of “Israel”
’s nuclear arsenal.
