Fadlullah receives a call from the Lebanese Army
Commander, General Michel Suleiman, and talks with the Secretary
General of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah and the
Secretary General of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah discussed in a
telephone conversation the latest developments in the country,
especially the events of last Sunday. They both stressed the need for
the inquiry to take its course as promised by the Lebanese Army
Commander of conducting a transparent and accurate inquiry in respect
of the souls of the martyrs.
Talks also revolved around Israel's recognition of its defeat in
July war 2006, as stated in the Winograd commission report, as well as
the responsibilities that should be shouldered by those inside and
outside Lebanon in unifying views and stands as well as in confronting
the enemy.
His Eminence received a phone call from the Lebanese Army
Commander, General Suleiman, to inform him about the developments in
the investigations the Army is making.
For his part, Sayyed Fadlullah stressed the need to conclude the
inquiry as soon as possible, especially in view of the public unrest.
And General Suleiman promised to continue the investigation until a
decisive and accurate result is reached.
