Fadlallah: The Resistance proved that it is the decisive deterring element and any talk about disarming it is an act of grand treason.

The Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah stressed that everybody in Lebanon holds the responsibility of revealing the true nature of the Israeli aggression by shedding the light on the Israeli continuous massacres on all levels. It is not logical that the world would be stunned by the atrocities in Qana for several hours, and then remain silent towards the following massacres like that of Qaa’ and the other daily atrocities. Do the eyes of the UN only see, when it is asked by certain political and information circles? or do they want the mascaras to continue, as a part of the pressure on Lebanon to force it to offer concessions and accept the Israeli conditions.
His Eminence emphasized that the responsibility t should be held by the parties in Lebanon as well as all Arabs and Muslims who claim to be with Lebanon in order to prevent the US and Israel from achieving any political achievement that the enemy was unable to gain on the battlefield.

Any settlement and solution should take these massacres into consideration. The Lebanese state should move to try the Israelis as war criminals, regardless of any political pressures it might face, since any irresponsible dealing with the issue, will lead ,in the future, to blood baths and additional Israeli massacres before the passive eyes of the world.

The goals that America wanted this war to achieve including the breakdown of the internal Lebanese fabric, by trying to end the Resistance and the Lebanese internal opposition spirit, can not be the umbrella that constitutes the political ceiling that overshadows the situation after 25 days since the beginning of the aggression. Such a ceiling was based upon the assumption that the enemy will be victorious within a few day. But what happened was that the Resistance was able to defeat the Zionist Army. Therefore the political level should take into consideration what happens in the battlefield.

All officials in Lebanon, whether the presidency, the Cabinet or the Parliament should remain committed to what they had declared that they will not hold any negotiations before the ceasefire. Any breaking of the internal unity through certain weak or improvised positions would give the enemy a glimpse of hope that it could break the official Lebanese body having fled in breaking the Lebanese popular body.

The Sayyed praised some of the statements that were made lately, and that said that the root problem is the occupation, and the solution should be sought accordingly. Sayyed Fadlallah saw that these stands make one proud that there are such responsible politicians in Lebanon that prove that the American bet on certain sectarian differences failed.
Sayyed Fadlallah emphasized in the end that the Resistance proved that it represents the decisive force of deterring especially in view of the Israeli ambitions and aggressions. Any talk about disarming it after all what had happened is an act of grand treason. Moreover, no one will be able to achieve what the Israeli war machine has failed to.
