Al-Mabarrat Benevolent Society has donated $10,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service in support of its tireless efforts in fighting the recent fires and helping people stay in their homes.
On Thursday, 28 November 2019, the General Manager of Al-Mabarrat Benevolent Society and Imam of Masjid Arrahman, His Eminence Sheikh Youssef Nabha,visited the NSW Rural Fire Service headquarters where he was received by Senior Assistant Commissioner Bruce McDonald and Chief Financial officer Stephen O’Malley.
The Assistant Commissioner gave a presentation to Sheikh Youssef Nabha about the NSW RFS, the latest developments on the bushfires and the extent of the damage and losses that have afflicted people, their properties and homes, environment, nature and animals.
Sheikh Youssef Nabha commended the efforts of the NSW Rural Fire Service and the volunteers in extinguishing the fires. Sheikh Nabha also expressed that our donation springs from the value of Mateship that we are proud of and that we feel great responsibility in these sensitive and painful situations to extend our hand to the Government institutions that have a role in extinguishing fires and helping people stay in their homes.
At the end of the meeting, the Assistant Commissioner and Chief Financial officer thanked Sheikh Youssef Nabha and Al-Mabarrat Benevolent Society for their donation to the NSW Rural Fire Service.
