The
message of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammed Hussein
Fadlallah addressed to emigrants
|
In
The Name Of Allah The merciful The Most Compassionate
Allah's praise and peace upon
our great Prophet Mohammad, his pure progeny, and all the prophets of
Allah.
May peace be upon you
brothers and sisters..
Dearly loved brothers and
sisters:
I address to you these words from afar while you're away from
your homeland to earn a decent living so as to assume responsibility
towards yourself and your families against the harsh circumstances
imposed upon you by the challenges that surrounded Islam and Muslims
as well as the oppressed and the deprived. While I speak to you from
afar like a father to his children, I like to you from the position of
faith, what I like to myself, because the Great Prophet said:
"One does not consummate faith until he likes for his brother
what he likes for himself." And while I speak to you, I want to
remind you and myself of Allah (SWT) who is everything in our
existence. In every aspect of this existence there is the Creator Who
created us from nonexistence. He is the Provider who guarantees our
livelihood despite our sins and guilt. Just as Imam Zain-el-Abideen (A.S.)
expressed while confiding to his God with the tongue of sinners,
although he is infallible from committing sins; he said: "You
endear to us with blessings and we go up against You with our sins.
Your good to us is descending, and our evil to You is ascending. And
there is still a noble angel who brings You a shameful act of ours,
but this doesn't stop You from overwhelming us with Your blessings and
grace. Glory to You, how Lenient, Great, Most Generous You are as an
initiator and a repeater."
Love is to Allah first
Thus
we see that Allah (SWT) gives he who asks him with compassion, and
initiates with good he who doesn't ask him with condescendence and
generosity. And He is the one Who gives those who disobeyed Him same
as He gives those who obey Him, since giving, generosity, and
compassion is peculiar to Him. He is the merciful God who mercifully
takes care of us with all what we flow with and act in our small or
big affairs. In this existence, we are an emanation of His mercy.
Therefore, if you mention Him, do mention Him with His mercy,
kindness, generosity, and giving so as to love Him in your depths,
because it is not normal that our relation with Allah be a formal one
so that we think that Allah is as far from us as the sky from earth.
Rather, we have to think of Allah as the secret of our existence, and
when you mention Him then you have to love Him. Indeed you love
scholars (Ulamas) while He is the whole of science. {And with Him are
the keys of the unseen treasures, none knows them but He; and He knows
what is in the land and the sea; and there falls not a leaf but He
knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, or anything green
or dry but (it is all) in a clear book} (Al An'aam; 59).
You love
those who have beauty and He is the Creator of beauty and its God.
From Him comes the beauty of humans, animals, nature, and the whole
universe. You love those who are strong, and the strength is wholly
Allah's. You love those who are honorable and to Allah belongs the
honor wholly. Indeed you love those who are generous and Allah is the
most generous; there is no limit to His giving. Therefore, if you love
people for what they posses of characteristics, then you should
remember that Allah has the best names, the highest exemplary, and the
great attributes. Therefore, do love Allah before you love anyone
else.
Allah (SWT) approaches you so as you approach him. Allah says to
you: {then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the suppliant
when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me
that they may walk in the right way.} (The Cow; 186). He shows love
and affection to you. He is telling you that He is very near, very
near to your pains to soothe them or remove them, very near to your
dreams to make them come true, very near to your lives to give them
every mercy and rest and to drive them forward to the guidance in the
path of light and the brightness of the right. He is telling you,
responsibly, that He is close: {And certainly We created man, and We
know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his
life-vein. When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on
the left. He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand}
(Qaf, 16-18). So Allah is living inside your existence and He is
nearer than any one who looks into your inner self {He knows the
stealthy looks and that which the breasts conceal} (Ghafir, 19). And
He surrounds you from all your directions because He is dominating the
whole universe and the Subduer over His people, and He hears the
insinuations that preoccupies your chests {Nowhere is there a secret
counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them, nor
(between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor
more but He is with them wherever they are; then He will inform them
of what they did in the Day of Resurrection: surely Allah is Cognizant
of all things} (Al-Mujadalah, 7).
Do not disobey Allah, in
gratitude to His favors:
Dearly beloved:
If you were alone with
yourselves and Satan comes to you to grant you security from people
and from any watcher because the doors are closed, and there is not
anyone who can see or hear, you should remember that Allah (SWT) sees
you from while you cannot see Him. Remember Imam Ali's (a.s.) words:
"Beware of sins to Allah in privacies, because verily the witness
himself is the judge"
While you are living every favor {And
whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah} (The Bees, 53),
{And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number
them} (The Bees, 18), you should not disobey Allah in gratitude for
His favors, as Imam Ali (PBUH) said, "Were it not for Allah's
threat on his disobedience, then He should have not been disobeyed in
gratitude to His favors". We have to thank Allah by obeying Him
and thank Him by not disobeying Him. Thanking Allah (SWT) is by
praying to Him, and he is not in need of our prayers. The Great
Prophet (PBUH) had said to someone who said to him "You do that
and Allah has forgiven all your precedent and belated sins?Muhammad (PBUH)
said: Don't I need to be a thankful servant".
Every prayer,
supplication, glorification and praise, and every worship, fasting or
pilgrimage or else, is an expression of the gratitude's profundity to
Allah (SWT). Allah's love is not a heartbeat, not even a pulse of
feeling, and not words we utter, it is, however, the walking on the
path of the Great Prophet (PBUH) in obeying Allah. So if we love Allah
and obey Him by expressing His love, then Allah will love us {Say: If
you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you} (Aal Omran, 31).
Be the keepers of your
religion so that they will not steal it from you:
Dearly beloved:
circumstances have forced you to immigrate to a country where Islam
neither has a base in nor a force. However, Islam is suffering so much
from the elements of people's straying from the right path. Islam is
also coming under tremendous arrogant pressures that might defeat the
believers . Therefore, be the keepers of your religion so that others
do not steal it from you, and so that you do not fall in front of the
challenges aimed at you. Hold your religion even if it were like
ember, because religion is the rope that binds our relation with Allah
(SWT), and the issue that determines our fate in this life as well as
the Hereafter .This is not a marginal issue but a vital one. It is
totally everything and anything else is indeed marginal since religion
does not guide us in our worshipping only, but in all of our life so
that every good deed and every act of guidance to people turns into an
act of worship.
Let the Dua'a (supplication)
of Imam Al-Saj'jad be our daily program:
Do read Imam Al-Saj'jad Zain
el-Aabideen's Dua'a ,everyday in the morning and in the evening, so as
to sense, with it, your unity with the whole existence through the
notion that existence, in all its aspects, is a creation of Allah (SWT)!
In everyday, which comes to you, do sense that He is a witness
watching you. Try to see, in every minute, an eye staring at you, and
every hour a watcher watching you, and so in every day, month, or year
witness who will testify upon you in the Judgment Day "And this
is a new occurring day, a forthcoming witness on us it is. If we do
well, it will depart with praise, but if we do badly it will pass away
with dispraise".
Thus, Imam Zain el-Abideen (a.s.) defines to us
our daily program that makes our day Islamic "Allah's praise and
peace upon our great Prophet Mohammed, his pure progeny. O Allah,
grant us success in our day and night and in all our days: to make use
of the good and desert from evil, to be thankful to Your favors and
follow Your norms, to avoid heresies and enjoin the good and forbid
the evil, to preserve Islam, to disparage and degrade falsehood, to
uphold and honor the right, to guide the aberrant, and to help the
weak and salvage the athirst." If you actuate this daily program
in your daily items, then the whole day serves the cause of Islam and
becomes a feast as Imam Ali (a.s.) said, while talking about the Eid
el-Fitr: "Truly it is a feast to he whom Allah has accepted his
fasting and thanked his prayers; everyday we don't disobey Allah in is
a feast". Make feasts of your days so that you jubilate with
Allah's gratification, since Allah's gratification is the one that
endures to you. Allah is the one who pours out mercy, grace, and care
upon you. Let our feast be a feast of obedience and avoidance of sins.
Safeguard your family and
children so as to avoid the hell of the Hereafter.
Dearly beloved:
"Judge yourselves before you will be judged and weigh yourselves
before you will be weighed" and remember what Allah (SWT) said,
He wants everyone of us to attach importance to his account of deeds
and not to limit himself to his money account, {O you who believe! Be
careful of (your duty to) Allah, and let every soul consider what it
has sent on for the morrow and be careful of (your duty to), surely
Allah is Aware of what you do. And be not like those who forsook
Allah, so He made them forsake their own souls: these are the
transgressors. Not alike are the inmates of fire and the dwellers of
the Garden; the dwellers of the Garden are they that are the
achievers}(Al-Hashr, 20-18)
So, when you look at your children to
overwhelm them with your emotions, do remember that you have to
protect them from the hell of the hereafter just as you protect them
the hell of the present life. And when you look at your family: your
fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, wives and husbands,
remember to give them love. And remember that true love is to salvage
them from Allah's wrath and discontent because the heavens and earth
do not withstand His wrath and discontent, so how can a negligible,
miserable, and submissive servant withstand that?
Remember Allah's
words: {O you who believe! Save your sons and your families from a
fire whose fuel is men and stones; over it are angels stern and
strong, they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, and do as
they are commanded. The gardens of perpetual abode which they will
enter along with those who do good from among their parents and their
spouses and their offspring; and the angels will enter in upon them
from every gate. Peace be on you because you were constant, how
excellent, is then, the issue of the abode.} (Al-Ra'ed, 23-24)
Submit to Allah alone, and be
the free in front of the world:
Dearly beloved: Be strong in
confronting temptation. Be steadfast in confronting challenges. Be
patient in confronting psychological and all kinds of pressures
(financial, physical… etc). Be the free in front of the world. The
problem of many people is that they say they are free in front of
Allah (SWT), and when Allah wants them to obey Him then one of them
would say I am free, I do not pray nor fast. I am free to drink
alcohol (wine), to commit adultery or steal, but they are slaves in
front of the slaves of Allah. Doesn't someone say to a rich person (I
am your slave)? Imam Ali (a.s.) says: "Do not be the slave of
others, for Allah has made you a free person".
Be the free in you
free wills. The freedom is not that you can walk around freely, but
don't foresake your willpower before others who want to pressure your
will and void your humanity. Just as Imam Jaafar el-Sadiq (a.s.) said:
"The free person is free in all circumstances so if a misfortune
befell upon him he resorts to patience, and if disasters befell upon
him he wouldn't be subdued even if he were captured or defeated."
Neither money nor sons would
help:
Dearly beloved:
Verily, we would live for years but eventually
we will stand for judgment before Allah (SWT) {The Day on which no
soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the Command on
that Day shall be entirely Allah's}(Al-Infitar, 19), {The Day a father
shall not make any satisfaction for his son, not shall the child be
the maker of any satisfaction for his father}(Lukman, 33). {(Remember)
the Day when every soul shall come, pleading for itself} (Al-Nahl,
111).
{And the Book shall be placed, then you will see the guilty
fearing from what is in it, and they will say: Ah! woe to us! What a
Book is this! It does not omit s small one nor a great one but
remembers them (all); and that they had done they shall find present
(there); and your Lord does not deal unjustly with anyone} (Al-Kahf,
49).
{Read your Book; your own self is sufficient as a reckoner
against you this Day.}(Al-Israa, 14) {O people! Guard against (the
punishment from) your lord; surely the violence of the hour is a
grievous thing. On the Day when you shall see it, every woman giving
suck shall quit in confusion what she suckled, and every pregnant
woman shall lay down her burden, and you shall see men intoxicated but
the chastisement of Allah will be severe} (Al-Shoaraa, 88-89).
My sons and brothers: Allah
will not make good of any disunity:
Dearly Beloved: I address you from
afar, the address of a father to his sons and a brother to his
brothers. You are my sons all through life; and you are my brothers as
faith endures. From the depth of my experience as I approach the
seventies, and from the depth of intellect, as I lived through many
intellectual and practical experiences, I would like to say to you
that disunity among believers, in all its forms, does not serve
anyone. Even those who work in the path of disunity shall fall under
its effects and feel the brunt of its flame before others feel it.
Because he who sows the seeds of discord among people shall lose love
and the open soul as well. He, who does that, is living a black
darkness inside his heart. He is also living in caves full of fears
and terror inside his mind. The problem of those is that they do not
want to face their souls, because their souls detest them. They do not
want to face their reality, because their reality damns them. Allah (SWT)
will not make good of any disunity nor make evil of any unity. {And
hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited,
and remember the favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, when He
united your hearts so by His favor you become brethren; and you were
on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it; thus does
Allah make clear to you His communications that you may follow the
right way} (Al Omran, 103). {And surely this your religion is one
religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful of your duty) to Me}
(al-Mu'mneen, 52).
Dearly beloved: In your
countries away from home and in your homeland, unity is the one that
makes people get united in major issues and the one that secures a
foothold in shaky positions. Indeed, disunity originates from the
preoccupation in small and marginal worthless issues. In fact, we do
have major issues that relate to the challenges that Islam and Muslims
are facing on the security, economic, political and cultural levels.
Therefore, we are living in a state of contingency on all directions;
a state where the ground is shaking under our feet and only by our
unity will we be able to make it settle.
Learn from the Holy Quran to
face disagreements on the basis of unity:
Dearly beloved: Someone
might say that we disagree in our faith, partisanship, political
trends, and interests. But, then, why do we talk about disagreements
and not talk about what we agree on? Is not Allah (SWT) our God who
unites us in His divinity and our slavery to Him? Is not our Prophet (PBUH)
the Messenger of Allah who unites us in his mission and in abidance by
his path and religion? Do not we believe that the Quran is our Holy
Book, that Kaaba is our Kiblah, and that Islam is our religion? Are
not we praying towards one Kiblah, observe our prayers in similar
times, do pilgrimage in one place, observe all aspects of our worships
and transactions with little detail here and margin there? One
desirably cross his arms while praying, while the other let down his
hands. One washes his feet during ablution and the other wipes his
feet. But we all are observing our prayers and ablution.
We have to
learn from the Quran to meet on what we had agreed upon, and to
mention the words of similarities not the words of disagreements. Does
disagreement among Muslims in all their faiths reach the level of
disagreement between Muslims and the people of the Book?
Are the
disagreements of the followers of the same faith who disagree in
partisanship, religious authorities (Marjaa), and political
orientations, more than our disagreements with the people of the Book?
What is the use of this heated argument that we curse one another,
because we disagree in certain peculiarities? Is this the kind of
argument that Allah (SWT) wants when we disagree? I think that you do
not read the Quran carefully. {Call to the way of your lord with
wisdom and goodly exhortation, and have disputations with them in the
best manner} (An-Nahl, 125). {Say: O followers of the Book! Come to an
equitable proposition between us and you that we shall nor serve any
but Allah and (that) we shall not associate aught with Him, and (that)
some of s shall not take others for lords besides Allah} (Al Omran,
64). {And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what
is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in
that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you and our God and
your God is One, and to Him do we submit} (Al-Ankaboot, 46).
Why do
not we learn from the Quran the equitable and good words. {And say to
my servants (that) they speak that which is best; surely the Shaitan
sows dissensions among them; surely the Shaitan is an open enemy to
man} (Al-Israa, 53). Why do not we learn from the Quran how to solve
our problems in a goodly manner and repel them in a friendly manner.
{And not alike are the good and evil. Repel (evil) with what is best,
when lo! He between whom and you was enmity would be as if he were a
warm friend} (Fosilat, 34-35).
The Holy Quran is telling you to turn
your enemies into friends of your religion, homeland, and nation. It
is calling on you to turn the enemies of your parties, movements, and
religious authorities (Marjaa) into friends of yours.
Why do you like
enmity? Why are you fond of hatred that you direct against believers
before unbelievers? Why do occupy yourselves with all the methods that
disunite you? Why is all you concern is defaming the believers' image
particularly those in the position of leadership, and so on?
Do not judge what you have no
knowledge of:
Why do you consent to all what you hear knowing that
Allah (SWT) says: {O you who believe! If an evil-doer comes to you
with a report, look carefully into it, lest you harm a people in
ignorance, then be sorry for what you have done} (Al-Hojorat, 6).
Why
do you accuse and judge with no knowledge on you part? Allah (SWT)
says: {And follow not that which you have not the knowledge; surely
the hearing and the sight and the heart, all of these shall be
questioned about that} (Al-Israa, 36). Allah will ask the hearing
about what and how it had heard, the sight about what and how it had
seen, and the mind about what it had perceived and how it perceived
it.
The boundaries of Allah in
all the words you say:
Dearly beloved: Islam tells you: "place
the deed of you brother at its best". Imam Ali (a.s.) says:
"Do not mistrust (or misinterpret) a word your Muslim brother had
said while you can find a room of good trust for him". Your major
concerns must primarily be your enemies in which you would not have
any gap to be preoccupied negatively with your friends and companions.
Satan has had a major influence on our societies until we have come to
a point where we focus on our negativity within the believers' circle
rather than the ones in the nonbelievers' circle. We know, before
hand, that international, local, and regional intelligence did not
find an opportunity to create a split among believers except to make
them busy with one another so that they become engrossed from the
arrogants, the unbelievers, and the oppressors.
I, with all the love,
say to you: Observe the boundaries of Allah in all the words you say
{O you who believe! Avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in
some cases is a sin and do not spy nor let some of you backbite
others. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But
you abhor it}(Al-Hojorat, 12) {O you who believe! Let not (one) people
laugh at (another) people perchance they may be better than they, nor
let woman (laugh) at (other) woman, perchance they may be better than
they}(Al-Hojorat, 11).
My advice to you is to fill your hearts with
love to the patrons of Allah, and hatred to the enemies of Allah.
There is a Hadith that says: "if you want to know whether you had
good inside you, then look into your heart. If your heart likes those
who obey Allah and detest those who disobey him, then there is good
inside you and Allah loves you. But if you heart detests those who
obey Allah and likes those who disobey him, then there is no good
inside you and Allah detests you,." Therefore, try to learn how
to love for your love to be right, and how to detest for your
detestation to be right.
Stand against the rumors your
enemies are evoking:
Dearly beloved:
While I am talking to you I feel
sorry from the impact of all the rumors that Allah wanted you to be
God-fearing towards. The intelligence agencies employ rumors as a
means to destroy someone or defame the image of another. Or perhaps
take some people away from a certain person, group, or a nation. You
all know very well how the enemies of Allah evoke false rumors against
the faithful to Allah. Therefore, these rumors must not defeat you,
and you must stand against it with awareness, precision, and certainty
so that you defeat those who fight against you and fight Islam with
rumors.
We are not fundamentalists as
far as fundamentalism is defined by the West:
Dearly beloved:
As we
face our reality in this world, we see that there is an international
war being waged against Islam and its followers under the title of
Islamic terrorism, Islamic extremism, and Islamic fundamentalism. Tell
people (around you) that we are not fundamentalists as far as
fundamentalism is defined by the West. Because fundamentalism in the
Western meaning is to cancel the other and not to recognize him. And
Islam has recognized People of the Book, lived peacefully with them,
and did not void them up till now. Fundamentalism, in the Western
understanding, considers violence as the only means to solve problems
with others, and Islam says: Repel (evil) with what is best, when lo!
He between whom and you was enmity would be as if he were a warm
friend} (Fosilat, 34). The Great Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) says:
"when kindness is put on anything it adorns it, and if raised it
disgrace it", and "Allah is kind and likes kindness. He
gives upon kindness what He does not give upon violence".
We stand up against every
oppressor; oppression has no faith:
We are fundamentalists in the
sense that our fundamentalism originates from our faith, religious
jurisprudence, conceptual, and movement-principles. When we start off
from the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad and the
Imams after him, and the virtuous Companions of the Prophet, then we
are not terrorists. We want the world to live in peace; we do not want
to harm the peace of any person in the world. But, as we like peace to
the world we also like peace to our nation and ourselves. We believe
that the occupation of a land is not peace. The displacement of people
from their land, just as what had been done to the Palestinians, is
not peace as well. Also, giving the occupier a reward for
reconciliation between him and those who he had long oppressed,
occupied, killed, and displaced is not peace.
Even though we differ
with the Jews, but we do not have a complex with them as Jews, as far
as religion is concerned. But since Jews had oppressed us, we treat
them just as we treat the oppressors. We stand against those who
oppress us even if they were Muslims, and stand with the oppressed
even if they were unbelievers, since oppression has no faith.
Allah (SWT)
wanted justice to be humane, so that every man, even the unbeliever,
has a right in justice. Allah also wanted oppression to be inhumane so
that oppression has no value even if the oppressor were a Muslim. We
are not extremists, but we are committed to a cause rather. There is
quite a big difference between extremism, which is far away from the
normal boundaries of things, and commitment, which abides by these
boundaries. We are not fanatics, but rather open-minded. We call for
dialogue and argument in a friendly manner. Therefore, do not listen
to this war-of-words, lest you victimize yourselves under its
influence. You should possess the awareness of words so that others do
not topple you with their words.
We may live in some areas of
weakness, but we as a nation do possess many areas of strength.
However, we have to organize, accumulate, concentrate, and mobilize
these areas of strength.
We should face Arrogance with
planning and rationality:
Dearly loved:
The arrogants are very strong,
but diseases are ruining their strength. Their body may be strong in
shape, and we may be weak but we possess the elements of strength. Do
not let others defeat you and try to seek strength from Allah (SWT)
the Almighty: {when those who disbelieved expelled him, he being the
second of the two, when they were both in the cave, when he said to
his companion: Grieve not, surely Allah is with us}(Al-Tawba, 40).
Follow the example of the Prophet's companions who struggled with him:
{Those to whom the people said: Surely men have gathered against you,
therefore fear them, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us and
most excellent is the Protector. So they returned with favor from
Allah and (His) grace; no evil touched them and they followed the
pleasure of Allah; and Allah is the lord of mighty grace. It is only
the Shaitan that causes you to fear from his friends but do not fear
them, and fear Me if you are believers}(Aal-Omran, 173-175). The
international arrogance has started to wage a war on the free,
open-to-freedom and justice movement-Islam. It is waging an
economical, political, and media war on Iran because it adopted Islam
as a force that liberates the whole world from the tyranny of the
arrogants. And because its wise and prudent leadership, represented by
Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenie (may God protect him), represents the
awareness that is open to Islam as well as Muslims as a whole, and
also represents the leadership that guards the Islamic reality. They
do not want any leadership, which is strong by Allah and persistent in
its stances, to exist. Therefore, let us have a vigilant posture
against arrogance, not an emotional anarchist posture, but a
reasonable subjective posture that plans, prepares itself and studies
the circumstances and variables, the same as arrogance does. By this
we become self-confident, solid and resilient in our stances, stable,
and firm against the rage of storms.
Let us differentiate between
the West's administrations and its peoples:
The battle between the
arrogants and the oppressed is a historically deep-rooted battle, and
we should prepare ourselves for it in a civilized and Islamic manner.
Therefore, you should be aware of all the methods that aim at driving
you away from prudence and self-control.
I say to you: you have to
differentiate between Western and American administrations and their
respective peoples. We want to be friends to the Americans, Germans,
British, French, and all the peoples around the world. Therefore, we
have to employ our relations to educate and enlighten them about our
causes.
Dearly beloved: I say to you:
you are the messengers of Islam to these countries, just as Imam Sadiq
(a.s.) said, "be the preachers of your souls by a different
language than that you speak".
Be the pious and the faithful
when dealing with other people:
Dearly beloved:
Be the bright image of
Islam and the entrusted on people's money there. You are not permitted
to take people's money unlawfully even if they were non-Muslims. You
are not even permitted to harm the security of the country that is
hosting you, because otherwise you will be evil guests and as a result
you will also do harm to your Islam. Do not try to create disorder in
the country that is living under law and order. I am not saying that
the regimes there are legitimate, but I am asking you to be exemplary
of a nation that observes and respects others just as we want others
to respect us. Do not pay attention to any Fatwa that legitimizes the
trading of drugs under the title of confiscating the money of others.
Do not pay attention to any Fatwa that allows you to desecrate
people's honors under the pretense that you do not need any legal
contract with women. Do not even listen to anyone who wants you to
assassinate a person here or a person there, or to bomb a place here
or a place there, especially if these bombs inflict harm on innocent
people (children, women, and elderly). And anyone who tells you that,
by this, you will achieve big results politically, do not believe him.
Because if we had to study the issue realistically, then we will find
that disadvantages in such issues reach over 80 percent, and that the
advantages, if any, do not go beyond the 10 or 20 percent. We also
read in the Holy Quran: {They ask you about intoxicants ad games of
chance. Say: In both of them there is a great sin and means of profit
for men, and their sin is greater than their profit.} (The Cow, 219).
Dearly beloved: Be the
faithful, the truthful, and the pious in dealing with other people.
Ill-gotten gains never prosper, and lawfully gained money will
prosper. Lawful jobs are blessed, so is lawful amusement and lawful
foods and drinks. Yet there is no blessing in any forbidden deed, even
if it were a devilish allurement or in response to one of your
desires.
The Islamic Resistance
represents the vigor and pride of the nation:
Dearly beloved:
We are facing
one of the toughest stages in the arogant's campaign against the
Mujahideen whether that was international, Zionist, or Arab arrogance.
They want to besiege the Mujahideen so as to perturb them with their
unjust laws. Therefore, you have to act with vigor in order to support
the Mujahideen, especially the Islamic Resistance. This Resistance
represents the spot of light in all this darkness, and the vigor, the
pride, the freedom, and dignity of this nation.
If you commemorate
Imam Hussein (a.s.) and his companions in Karbalaa every year, then
you should commemorate Imam Hussein's (a.s.) companions in Lebanon and
Palestine in every stance you take. Because the cause is the same and
so is the path "By Allah! I will not submit to you the submission
of the meek, nor I will avow to you the avowal of slaves". Imam
Hussein has taught us not give in to those who represent evil because
if we do so we shall merit the wrath of Allah.
So those Mujahideen
represent the hope of the nation that revolt against those who
impounded and destroyed it. The nation will never fall so long as
those Mujahideen are there, and so long as there are those who have
hope in Allah (SWT) {O my sons! Go and inquire respecting Yusuf and
his brother, and despair not of Allah's mercy; surely none despairs of
Allah's mercy execept the unbelieving people}(Yusuf, 87).
Hardships will never defeat
us, and we will continue topursue the staight path:
Dearly beloved:
Verily this stage is very hard. But despite all this intimidation that
the arrogant media is massing, we are not falling down. Do not believe
that Muslim believers are waiting for a knock on their heads with
nothing to do accept to think when the strike will fall upon them .
Muslim believers are standing steadfast and will never bow except for
Allah (SWT). Therefore, do not think we are in a weak position. On the
contrary; we are in a strong position taken from Allah and from our
will and awareness of the whole reality. We may face some hardships or
be surrounded with pressures, but all of that will not overpower us
and we will pursue the staight path {if you suffer pain, then surely
they (too) suffer as you suffer pain, and you hope from Allah what
they do not hope;}(Al-Nisaa, 104), {And be not infirm, and be not
grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. If a
wound afflicted you, a wound like that has also afflicted the
(unbelieving) people; and we bring these days to men in turn} (Aal-Omran,
139-140).
Dearly beloved:
we go back to
what we stated with: fear Allah as he had guided you and say: {All
praise is due to Allah who guided us to this, and we would not have
found the way had it not been that Allah had guided us; certainly the
apostles of our Lord brought the Truth} (Al-Aaraf, 43)
Abide by your Islam since
what surrounds you may take you away from Allah:
Dearly beloved:
You
Islam is a treasure, so do not lose it and do not let anyone take it
away. Try to live within yourselves the charges of the soul in every
day and night especially thursday night(the night before Friday) .
Commit yourselves to reading the Kumail Dua'a (supplication), and weep
before Allah in submission and devotedness, because in doing so you
wash your souls and hearts from every evil and purify your minds from
filth.
Dearly beloved:
Try to gather
to perform your prayers and recite your supplications, and try to
listen to the sermons that bind you with your God. Because everything
that is around you takes you away from Him. Therefore, you should work
hard to get close to Him. If you do not find some one who can deliver
sermons to you, then you can obtain them through cassettes and
videotapes of various sermons by prominent scholars. So, make use of
these tools so as to learn a lesson from or to take (a) guidance from,
and do not be like that person {He shall say: My Lord! Why have Thou
raised me blind, and I was a seeing one indeed! He will say: Even so:
Our communications came to you, but you neglected them; even thus
shall you be forsaken this Day} (Taha, 125-126). We cannot afford to
have Allah (SWT) neglect us, but indeed we need His protection and
guardianship in the hereafter.
Dearly beloved:
Verily I send
you wholeheartedly all my love and sentiments and prayers. I sent
these to your youth, young girls, elderly, women, and kiss the cheeks
of your children. May Allah (SWT) bless you and guard you. May Allah
guard you against the slides of Satan and strengthen you against the
challenges. May He wide-open the doors of livelihood and the doors of
overwhelming mercy. May you always be under His watch so that you
return home to your families sound and safe from every Satan, enemy,
and illness, successful with your faith and morals and unity. {And
say: Work; so Allah will see your work and (so will) His Apostle and
the believers;} (Al-Tawba, 105).
All Praise is due to Allah,
the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you.
With my love and Prayers.
