On the ethical level, Allah wants man to be, in his behaviour and relations with others, open on what is best, so that he would best represent his religion.

Allah has summarized this in His saying: "Who can be better in religion than one that submits himself to Allah, does good…", which means that all of you should submit to Allah and to Allah alone.

You should submit to Allah in your entirety, with your mind, heart and movement in life, always aiming at winning Allah's satisfaction.

This is what Allah ordered His Prophet to say: Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are all for Allah… everything in my personality, movements, deeds, life and death, as well as all my religious rites – NO partner has He – and for Allah alone.

This am I commanded – Allah has ordered me to be faithful to my Islam in all my being. And I am the first to submit – I was ordered to be the first to commit to Islam before anyone else.

Our Prophet said he was commanded to be the first to submit (the first to be a Muslim). That is no one should precede him to be committed to obey Allah and unify Him.

He, the Most Exalted, says: Who can be better in religion than one who submit his whole self to Allah, does good in his relations with God, his own self, the others and all human and follows the faith of Ibrahim, the upright, since Ibrahim is the father of the Prophets the one who lived love and friendship to Allah, Allah chose Him as His friend and gave Him His love. This is what I have always talked about, that man should be a friend of his god; you should live with Allah as a friend and as one whom you love.

You should talk to Him with love, to ask Him and Him alone for all your things and needs.

As for doing what is best we know that Allah has given us our tongue that we express our thoughts and feelings. In this respect, there are two kinds of words: words that create hatred and words that generate love. Allah tells the Prophet to tell the people (My servants) that they should say those things that are best – when you talk with your family, your neighbours and ones, you are enabling Satan to create problems among you Imam Ali (a.s.) said: "The tongue of the believer is behind his heart and the heart of the fool is behind his tongue”. Surely Satan does sow dissensions among them, for Satan is to man an avowed enemy.

Then there are the situations when people differ with one another, and they argue, each claiming to be right.

In this respect, we are not saying that there is a problem in dialogue and arguing. But it should be in the ways that are best, not accusing one another of unbelief and without cursing the other respect. You should also resort to the ways that are best with the People of the Book. Allah says:

And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam). Allah also talks to us about the problems within the same group or inside the same house that may be a result of political, economic and social circumstances. How do we solve this problem? Do we solve it by violence or by lenience?

And not alike are the good (violence ) and the evil (lenience) . Repel (evil) with what is best, when lo! he between whom and you was enmity would be as if he were a warm friend “(instead of turning your friends into enemies).

This is what Islam teaches us: to say what is best. The Quran even tells us that we should -when greeted- answer by being still more courteous or at least of equal courtesy.
And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint, - none but persons of the greatest good fortune. Such an approach is difficult. It needs patience to learn how to deal with the other in a way that promotes solutions.

For Allah wants us to lead our lives and move through it in the best way that is open on good and love.

The Second Sermon

In Palestine, the new Israeli aggression and the new massacre, is the gift of the Sharm Sheikh summit, having taken a new green light against Hamas from the Arabs who participated in the summit. But the participation of all resistance factions including the Aqsa Brigades of Fateh, has emphasized the Jihadi Palestinian unity in confronting the enemy.

The summit was meant to return the situation in the Palestinian territories to the way it was before Hamas won the elections at the beginning of last year, since all of them were against any resistance movement that aims at liberation, such a movement would hinder their political project that is based on "peace" with Israel.

It would also make it more difficult for them to be committed to the American policies that serve the interests of the Jewish state, especially that America did not exert any pressure on Israel to withdraw from the occupied lands, since the settlements, Judaizing Jerusalem, usurping water and power resources, humiliating Palestinians on the check points and continuing the assassinations and the incursions. This proves that the American led Arab – Israeli reconciliation did not achieve anything for the Arabs and the Palestinians.

The big and only winners were the Zionists whom the Arab world has opened on politically and economically. Some Arab officials even allied with Israel, justifying the aggression against Lebanon and even asking the enemy not to end it before destroying the Resistance, because they are afraid from the effects of the resistance spirit on their regimes.

Thus, the summit that followed the painful developments in Gaza aimed at besieging Hamas, having besieged its government and the national unity government that was the result of the Makka agreement that was refused by America and Israel, and not welcomed by the Arabs. But the officials disagree, and claim that the summit was held to support legitimacy whom they did not study well where it lies. They only seek to hide the real aim of their meeting that resembles a plan agreed upon with Israel who exploited the Arab support to fulfil its golden dream of weakening the Palestinians as a whole. When Israel talks about supporting Abass, and the emergency government, it is actually trying to intensify the Palestinian divide and make sure that Muhammad Abbas and his emergency government will be confined to the West Bank. It will not give it the freedom of movement, nor will it stop the assassinations and the detentions.

We do not know what happened in the closed session that was held after they delivered the speeches in which they claimed to have the interest of the Palestinians in heart, and tried to look like seekers for peace. Even the one, who talked about dialogue while the other three kept silent, did not have any realistic mechanism to solve the problem. The information that we have indicates that the Olmert-Bush meeting focused on preventing any reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah, especially that the partial lifting of financial sanctions was conditioned by the falling of Hamas.

This international and Arab enthusiasm for the fall of the national unity government indicates that what is wanted is to remove Hamas from any Palestinian political position. The way things are it seems they are heading towards a war on the Palestinian fighting factions or to a political isolation. The media has mentioned that the emergency government has already asked Al-Aqsa Brigades to hand in their arms and stop any resistance.

We ask: what did the enemy's Prime Minister give Abu Mazen in return for his demands for a final status solution?

The release of 250 prisoners of the Fateh Movement, if agreed upon by the Israeli Government, will lead to detaining a larger number the following day. Moreover, the release of the Palestinian funds that Israel holds will be an on-going blackmail, and the talk about improving the conditions of the Palestinians in the West Bank was not clear in its details although very clear in its motives. On the other hand, were Egypt – and Jordan, able to take from Olmert a political commitment to accept to engage in the final status negotiation, or would their recognition and that of the emergency government, define the borders of Israeli state?

The Sharm al-Sheikh summit was an Arab summit to polish the image of the enemy's Prime Minister before the world, without giving anything to the Palestinian people. We say to the Palestinians who are fighting over political power: what power are you fighting over? The power in the West Bank and Gaza is in the hands of Israel. It controls the land and occupies both the lands and the people. The only thing they are left to do is the resistance that liberates the land and the people.

This demands the strengthening of the national unity, which is being torn by the Arab and international powers.

There is another gift that the Palestinians are asked to applaud: appointing Blair as a peace envoy in the Middle East. And we know that Blair is a suspicious character that supported the USA in its war on Iraq and Israel in its war on Lebanon and its continued aggressions against the Palestinians. Thus, his appointment represents a continuation of the plan that aims at aborting the Palestinian Arab and Muslim rights in the name of peace. And we ask: How could the sponsor of wars, with Blair in their vanguard, provide peace for the region and the world?

We also heard the news of the meeting of the International Quartet Committee in Jerusalem, to discuss the Palestinian issue. We all know that their committee that was stillborn, because America did not want it to live, will not achieve freedom and dependence to the Palestinians. It will continue to mark time until the Palestinians will lose any hope they are left with. It is just as some of the officials of the Arabs league said: the Palestinian cause in the Security Council and the Arab League has died.

But the Palestinian People should remain hopeful and rely on their resistance that continues the Intifada that all factions should unite to support.

The American Secretary of State latest visit to France aimed at pressurizing its president not to hold a high level dialogue with Syria for the time being. The Americans wanted to assure the Lebanese that no French-Syrian rapprochement will affect them, although everyone knows that such a relation will be beneficial for both Syria and Lebanon, as it will put an end to the political deadlock that will not be in the Lebanese interest in any case.

But America that planned for the region to remain in a state of political and security chaos is waging a war against its foes by pressurizing France and Europe, since it is afraid that the EU states will pursue their interests in the region and regain their prestigious diplomatic position. America is also trying to impose additional sanctions against Iran's peaceful nuclear project. Moreover, the latest meeting between Rice and the Lebanese officials aimed at freezing the Lebanese crisis, since America rejects the solution that frees Lebanon from sectarian and partisan chaos, and wants it to continue to play the role of a front for every regional and international project as well as foreign tutelage. It is as several Lebanese and Arab officials have said when they noticed that the Affairs of the Lebanese are not in their hands, which means that any initiative including the Arab initiative should make a regional or international tour to find an opportunity of success.

The American Administration continues to struggle in the Iraqi quicksand, without having any plan to save its project in Iraq where it finds itself besieged by a hostile region both officially and on the popular level.

Meanwhile, the Iraqis continue to suffer from the carnages that move from one region to another killing thousands of innocent people.

Terrorism still dominates the entire scene; that includes even the sacred shrines, mosques and cultural and educational centres, in addition to the Tribal Sheikhs. There is also a war being waged on prominent scholars, and journalists which we do not rule out that the CIA and MOSAD might be behind it.

Following the security destabilizing events in Nahr el_Barid and in other locations in the north and Biqa,' the targeting of the UNIFIL could indicate further security chaos is the country.

It is a war on Lebanon, having failed to push it into a civil war. It is an alternative to civil strife after the United States failed in inciting such a strife.

America wants to exploit the political divide and will not allow any political solution that might calm things down. The only option the Lebanese are left with is to unite to defend their very existence; the political leadership should win over themselves and their differences and not stay on the top of the tree they climbed up to, because the fire is burning under their feet.

The people have to voice their say against all those who exploit their silence and trade in its sects and leaders.

We have to generate a new generation, who respects its country, plans for its future and starts to build a free and independent Lebanon.
