The foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan are
planning to visit the Zionist state to try to convince the Israelis of
accepting the Arab initiative which Israel still rejects most of its
provisions, especially that of establishing a Palestinian state on the
1967 occupied lands, including Jerusalem in a way that they concern
their affairs in a state that has no Israeli settlements. The Israelis
consider such a state as a threat to their state that would imbalance
their strategy and they are fully backed in this by the US.
Israel is still putting its stake on the history of
the Arab regimes in providing major concessions, that has been the
norm since the occupation of Palestine – under the influence of the
need to be moderate and realistic as well as the American pressures.
This is what we have noticed in the behind closed
doors debates during the last Arab summit, as well as in the Sharm
Ash-Sheik meeting in which Israel did not give the Palestinians except
a very small amount of money and the release of few prisoners. The
meeting was staged to study how to pressurize Hamas on the one hand,
and convince the Palestinian Authority on the other hand to offer
additional concessions.
This is what the Shram As-Sheik meeting aimed at,
with the two Arab states that had made peace with the enemy trying
hard to make things easier for the enemy at a time all parties in the
West and the Arab, and Muslim worlds know that Israel only gives the
Palestinians the leftovers after implementing its strategy of
dominating over most of Palestine and disintegrating the rest. Taking
advantage of the Arab pressure and American support as well as the
political military offensive on all resistance fronts in Lebanon and
Palatine, in addition to confronting all the forces of rejection in
the Arab and Muslim worlds, under the pretense of fighting terrorism.
We call on most of the Arab league states not to
deceive their peoples, after they had deceived themselves, by
considering that there is a realistic chance for a just peace with the
enemy, for there is no chance even for face-saving. They have to be
ashamed of the disgraceful was they their meetings or summits, as well
as their worthless and empty strong worded speeches.
On another level, we are receiving the first
anniversary of the Arab-Muslim victory against the Zionist enemy in
which the Resistance was able to defeat the aggression against Lebanon
that was planned by Israel and America, and aimed at destroying the
Resistance, by destroying the infrastructure, and killing and
displacing the civilians, relying on a group of Lebanese that did not
rise to the level of victory, but focused in it "catastrophic"
results, thus trying to undermine the high popular spirits that felt
proud and dignified living the victory of the Resistance.
America and most of the arrogant world moved to
stand with Israel aiming at turning its defeat into a victory through
the conferences and resolutions that supported Israel and denounced
the Resistance accusing it of terrorism and paying no attention to the
Lebanese prisoners.
During the war Israel was crying for help asking
the United States to help it by advanced bombs to reduce the impact of
its defeat, and when the war was over, another war led by America and
France started to pass resolutions that try to change the Israeli
defeat into a victory.
That is why the Resolution 1701 was a vague
resolution that was all in the interest of Israel. Nothing in it was
in the Lebanese interest, except the cessation of hostilities that
some considered to be in the Lebanese interest. Moreover, the
resolution aimed at protecting Israel from the Resistance. That is why
the UNIFIL was deployed in the Lebanese territories since Israel did
not accept to deploy them on Palestinian lands.
The big surprise was that the free people of the
South who are faithful to their land and country, hastened to get back
to their villages and towns, despite all the destruction, thwarting
the plot of certain politicians in the government to humiliate them by
postponing their return.
In the first anniversary of the historic victory of
the Resistance that restored the dignity of the Arab and Muslim
worlds, and opened the door for future victories against the enemies
of the nation, we call on the entire nation to stand with the
Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan. We want it not
to return backward or listen to the defeatist voices of the regimes
that are controlled by America and Israel. The nation should confront
all those who are trying to incite sectarian strife, to preoccupy us
and prevent us from continuing our struggle for freedom and
independence, and from supporting the Iraqi people whose civilians are
a victim of the occupation and the Takifiris, enemies of the Iraqi
people, who kill ruthlessly and who prevent any political solution,
and help the occupier to stay whether directly or indirectly.
We call on the nation to rise up to the level of
this critical era, and stand against the policies of the US
Administration, its western allies and its Arab against.
The American influence in the Middle East has been
reduced. It was already damaged by the war in Iraq that indicated the
growing feeling that the US will always back Israel whatever it does.
We also notice that the US Secretary of State talked about the
destruction of Lebanon as the labor that will give birth to a new
democratic Middle East, adding that the Lebanese have gained a lot
after this war. Does she consider the destruction of Lebanon a gain to
the Lebanese or does she feel that the political anarchy in this
country has given its political party in Lebanon some strength that
they make use of to promote the US interests in the region? Yet, she
has not realized that the US influence in the region is gradually
decreasing and that its authority is being challenged due to the
expected regional explosion that will not be contained, and that will
further danger its hegemony.
In Lebanon, the crisis continues to mark time as a
result of the political stubbornness of those in authority to find a
realistic solution, influenced by the American pressures and the
French dependency to the United States that seeks to maintain some
influence in Lebanon.
We notice that trying to find a solution, the
crisis in Lebanon is traveling to several countries in the region,
trying to beg for a solution that will not come… because those who are
talking about it are being stopped at the wall they were forced to
erect… They are looking for a future that has no windows of
opportunity whether to the elections of the new president or his
agenda, and they are afraid that all parties will face the
constitutional vacuum that will aggravate the political crisis…
Meanwhile, the Lebanese people remain in a state of
panic and confusion, amid all that talk about the fears of the
confessions, the ambition of leaders, the sensitivities of sects, and
the abrupt eruptions of wars, strife, and assassinations… Moreover,
the economic crisis continues to worsen, and the poor and the deprived
cry. And the gravediggers continue to dig the grave of the country.
Where to?
