Brotherhood of Faith
How does Allah, The Most Exalted, want the Muslim community to act
in life and what kind of relations does He want it to establish among
its members? How does He want this community to open up on Him,
constantly renewing its belief in Him and fear Him in a way that they
will tremble if they mention Him?
At first, Allah, The Most Exalted, wants us to establish among the
community of believers a covenant of faith. He wants every believer to
feel in his heart and mind the brotherhood with all believers. He, the
Most Exalted, says that all believers are but brothers. But such
brotherhood is superior to that of linage, since it is based on the
relationship with the creator of one's father and mother who created
all people and not merely a blood relation with one's father or
mother.
Such a brotherhood of faith starts first in the mind through
believing in the oneness of Allah, and then in the heart through the
love of Allah before it is demonstrated in life through obeying our
creator.
Setting aright differences among Muslims
The First responsibility this brotherhood initiates lies in that
every believer should follow up the relations among believers, and
whenever he sees a difference among two of them, whether a husband and
wife or other believers, he has to set it aright to restore the
relationship of brotherhood among them and do not enable the
differences to affect their life or the welfare of the community. This
is true even with respect to Muslim groups (tribes, parties, sects and
the like). He calls on us to
And
if two parties of the believers quarrel, make peace between them
so that the Muslim community would maintain
internal peace, lest the community will fall and be corrupted. Thus
Allah, The Most Exalted, wants the believing community to open up on
Him to be afraid from His wrath and punishment and obey all what He
has commanded.
Allah emphasized this command in the Anfal Surah. So fear Allah,
and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His
Messenger, if ye do believe. :
Obey Allah in all what He commanded in His Books, as well as the
Sunnah of His Messenger – since obeying the Messenger is obeying Allah
If ye do love Allah, Follow me:
Allah will love you and forgive you your sins(3:13).
The true believer
Who are the believers?
They only are the (true) believers whose hearts feel fear when
Allah is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited unto them
they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord;
Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of
peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto
the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight.
when they are invited to
Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, is only to
say: We hear and we obey; and these it is that are the successful.
It is such as obey Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah and do
right, that will win (in the end).
Not only their hearts became full of fear when Allah the creator of
the Heavens and whom all glory belongs, but also they are the ones
whom when they listen to Allah's verses their faith is consolidated,
since these verses are but a light that illuminates their minds hearts
and lives. Those whom if they fear the future and the unexpected
challenges, they will rely on God to protect them.
Then Allah talks about the trails of these
Muslims :Those who keep up prayer and
spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them. Such in truth are
the believers: they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and
forgiveness, and generous sustenance:
For belief is not a word. It is in the mind that feels the glory of
Allah and act accordingly in obeying Him and His Messenger.
Hypocrites
There is also another point that the Quran describes: It is the
qualities of hypocrites who claim to believe but do not practice this
belief. Those people say we believe in Allah and the Messenger,
professing the two testimonies, and say that they are ready to obey
They say, "We believe in Allah and in the messenger, and we obey": but
even after that,
some of them turn away: they are not
(really) Believers.
But when their verbal expression is put into practice they will not
act accordingly.
And they say:
We believe in Allah and in the Messenger and we obey; then a party of
them turns back after this, and these are not believers. When they are
summoned to Allah and His messenger, in order that He may judge
between them, behold some of them decline (to come).
If they are called to accept the ruling of Allah to judge among
them they will refuse, although Allah says in Al-Nisa Surah that
belief means that one should accept Allah's judgement.
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make
thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no
resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest
conviction.
Those people
when they are called to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge
between them, lo! a party of them turn aside.
They will not accept the judgment if it is not in their side .And
they say they want to resort the state law. But when they find that
the Shariah will rule in their favour they will accept its ruling:
And if the truth be on their side, they come to him quickly, obedient.
Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? or do they doubt, or
are they in fear, that Allah and His Messenger will deal unjustly with
them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong
These are not the traits of the believers. On the contrary, the
believers are those who
make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their
souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the
fullest conviction
True Repentance
Lastly, there is an invitation that Allah has made to the believers
who commit sins. He opened for them the door of true repentance in
which one pledges not to go back to committing sins and disobey in
Allah.
He says:
O ye who believe!
Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will
remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which
Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the
Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward
before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord!
Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast
power over all things.
Thus Allah has opened for us the door of Repentance that is bigger
than the distance between earth and the sky. :
He is the One that accepts repentance
from His Servants and forgives sins: and He knows all that ye do.
The Second Sermon
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Of the consequences of the Annapolis Conference, are the continuous
assassinations and the establishment of additional settlements in
Jerusalem, as well as new affirmations by the Enemy's Foreign Minister
that has entity insisted on the Arab countries presence for two
reasons:
The first is to support Abu Mazen's concessions concerning many of
the vital issues of the Palestinian people, since he cannot offer such
concessions without their support, while the second is deploying the
so-called moderate states against Iran.
We notice that the attendance of the Arab states was not of their
own initiative on the basis of a real plan for peace, but rather as a
result of a joint American-Israeli invitation, that aims at supporting
Abu Mazen's concessions.
In this regard, the Arabs (the regimes) do not in general have any
objection to provide additional strategic concessions because they
want to liberate themselves from the Palestinian cause. This means
that the promised Palestinian state if founded, will be a unviable
state, that do not posses the basis that will enable it to be
independent from Israel practically and economically.
Iran calls for strategic-Islamic relations with the Arabs
The other issue that is represented by warning the Arabs moderates
from the “Great” Iranian threat according to the US secretary of
state, although it has been clear to the entire world that Iran seeks
to establish the strongest and closet relations with the Arab
countries, including Egypt and Jordan. And that who hinders the
establishment of these relations is the American Administration that
makes all effort to prevent any economic, political and security
coordination between Iran and the Arab countries in general and the
Gulf states in particular.
As we welcome the recent development of the Iranian president
participation in the Gulf Cooperation Council summit, we see that the
suggestions he made to establish an organization of cooperation
between Iran and the state members of the Council in the fields of
energy, investment, economy, tourism, science and others, an advanced
step to enhance the friendship between these two parties that
consolidates the Islamic ties among them and thwarts any attempts to
distort these relations which we believe will continue to develop and
move forward, in spite of all the plots of the enemies and those whose
interests will be hurt.
Moreover, we believe that those who believe that these suggestions
were made to avoid an American war on Iran are wrong, since Iran
established these friendship relation, especially with Saudi Arabia,
long before these new developments. Based on all this, we call upon
the Palestinians, and the Arab and Muslim world in general, to study
things in a responsible way to save the Palestinian cause. They should
also, based on their old and new experiences, consider Israel as the
enemy and that any Muslim state including Iran cannot be an enemy of
the Arabs and Muslims, especially the Palestinians, whom Iran supports
their cause at a time most of the Arabs and Muslims have ignored it.
Isolating Iran
In this respect, we appreciate the statement made by the Secretary
General of the Arab League in which he asked: Why do we talk about
Iran and not Israel? He also noted that every peaceful nuclear effort
that confirms with non-proliferation of nuclear weapons treaty, and
that is agreed upon by the International Atomic Energy Agency is
legitimate and acceptable.
In this statement he is actually pointing out to Israel, which did
not sign the treaty yet, although it is making a lot of fuss about the
peaceful Iranian nuclear efforts.
Thus, it is very remarkable that France should show such hysterical
enthusiasm for economic sanctions against Iran, yielding to the
demands of Israel and America.
On a parallel line, the national American intelligence has dealt a
severe political blow to Bush's Administration, when it stressed that
Iran has halted its military nuclear program in Autumn 2003, and
considered that Iran is less determined now to make a nuclear weapon
and that it will not make one before 2015, in case it resumes such an
effort.
But some American officials considered that such an outcome was a
result of the strategy of isolating Iran diplomatically that
accompanied the negotiations, and that the international community has
to increase the pressures to ensure the success of this strategy. Such
logic highlights the impasse the report of the national intelligence
made, since it asserted that Iran stopped its nuclear weapon program,
before all international pressures and economic sanctions begun.
Based on this fact, we can maintain that the American and European
stand-especially the French and the British, is a political one that
aims at pressurizing Iran to force it to accept the political
conditions of the superpowers, and prevent it from acquiring the
scientific know how in the nuclear and all other fields that can
provide self sufficiency in all the people's needs in our region,
making the Muslims in constant need to the West.
This is what the region should understand and plan to change, since
independence, is the independence of needs and not only policies,
which could not be attained if the former is not achieved.
Thus, to build our future we should focus, as a priority, on
building our scientific progress and prepare scientists that
specialize in all majors that would allow us to build a comprehensive
civilization.
Civil Peace in Lebanon
Even though a window of hope has been opened to reach a consensus
on the presidency in Lebanon, the debates are still taking place over
the image of the future in an atmosphere of a confidence crisis, which
needs a continues treatment, especially to the statements that are
made only compliments or political muscle showing .
We have always stressed on the need that the religious discourse,
especially that is made by those who assume official posts, should be
wise and objective in a way that makes it keep an equal distance from
all parties, to enable it to play its role in preserving coexistence
and avoid falling in the mazes of the political discourse, especially
with all that debate over constitutional and other issues.
We believe that the Lebanese crisis was, and still is, very
complicated on the internal and external level. Thus, making any
single party solely responsible for the continuance of this crisis is
a kind of simplifying that could further complicate it.
We want the Lebanese from all sects, not to consider civil peace
and coexistence as points of discord. These two issues are above
parties, sects and individuals. And therefore no one should mess
around with them.
People are concerned about their future. And all parties if they
are faithful to the people and the country – should try to address
this concern.
