Devotion: The basis of worship and work
His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday sermons. In the first sermon, he talked about devotion considering it an essential condition for any act of worship or any deed in life. In the second sermon, he considered that there can be no Arab spring, if it does not include Palestine. He pointed out that not accepting the reform in Syria will result in making Syria a part of the international struggle for influence. He also called on the Bahraini authorities to listen to the people, and called on the Lebanese people not to be influenced by the ongoing events in the surrounding region and to preserve the Resistance and keep it out of the internal debate
The Messenger (p.) elevated the status of man
His Eminence, Sheikh Hussein Al-Kheshen, delivered the two Friday sermons. In the first sermon, he celebrated the birth anniversary of the Messenger (p.) who restored the dignity of man. He pointed out that the nation today is following a course that runs opposite to what he (p.) called for. In the second sermon, His Eminence said that the Palestinians ought to unite for this is the major source of strength they possess. He also called for an Arab and Muslim imitative to launch a serious dialogue between the government and the opposition in Syria. His Eminence also called on the officials in Lebanon to put an end to their internal differences and turn their attention to the impact of the regional crisis on the country.
The messenger of Allah (p.): The role model and exemplar
His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday sermons. In the first sermon, he celebrated the birth of the Prophet whom Allah sent as mercy for all mankind. He called, on this occasion, for reproducing the spirit of mercy and unity among Muslims. In the second sermon, the Sayyed called for protecting Jerusalem, being the major cause whose fall will lead to the fall of all their causes. The Sayyed also considered that the Arab League should initiate a dialogue in Syria in order to ward off civil war. The Sayyed expressed his concern for the unfolding crisis in Bahrain, and for what he considered as an attempt to create a state of chaos in Egypt. In Lebanon, the Sayyed called for deterring the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon
Imam Al-Askari (a.s.): A short life flourished with faith
His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday sermons. In the first sermon, he commemorated the death anniversary of Imam Al-Askari (a.s.), talking about the oppression he had to endure, and his struggle that continued until the birth of his successor. In the second sermon, the Sayyed wondered why the Palestinian Authority has not taken a decisive stand towards the latest Israeli aggression. He considered that resorting to the Security Council will further complicate the Syrian crisis, and he outlined the dangers posed by the sanctions against Iran. He also called on the Egyptians to protect their country from the threat of strife, and expressed his disappointment with the performance of the Lebanese government.
The death of the Prophet (p.) and the continuity of the Message
His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday sermons. In the first sermon, he commemorated the death anniversary of the Prophet (p.). He talked about his sublime morals and the love the Muslims hold for him, calling on them to model after him in their sayings and deeds. In the second sermon, the Sayyed warned from the security deterioration in Iraq, and called on the officials to devise a political solution that would stabilize the country. He also called on the Arab League to find a realistic solution to the crisis in Syria away from foreign intervention. As for Lebanon, the Sayyed criticized the United Nation’s siding with the Zionist entity, calling on the Lebanese officials to ensure decent living for the citizens.
