Disparity

Date: 29/04/2016 A.D 22 Rajab 1437 H

His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday prayer sermons at the Imamain Al-Hassanain Mosque, Rajab, 22nd 1437 H. – April, 29th 2016. Several prominent religious scholars, dignitaries and thousands of believers attended the Jumu’a prayer.

In the first sermon, His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, talked about the issue of disparity and especially social disparity. He maintained that Allah wants people of different social ranks to cooperate. He also wants the poor and the disadvantaged to work hard to change their conditions.

In the second sermon, the Sayyed talked about the standstill in Lebanon, holding the political parties responsible, for they have decided not to offer any concessions for the sake of their country, which suffers from a threat on its borders, as well as from corruption and economic hardship internally.

The Sayyed also commented on the municipal elections. He noticed that some political parties want to use them as a tool to enhance their powers, while it should actually be a developmental instrument. The Sayyed, on the other hand, called for voting for the faithful, the most qualified and the realistic.

In Syria, the Sayyed noticed that the hopes in finding a political solution are dwindling, and the country has fallen again in a state of attrition, with more and more civilians dying every day. So, the Sayyed called on all the influential powers to make every effort to stop the bloodshed in Syria, and asked the Arab and Muslim countries to help Syria, for they actually owe it that, since it has always stood with them.

The Sayyed ended by congratulating the workers on the occasion of the Workers’ Day, especially the working mothers, who actually hold two jobs.
