The struggle between the right and falsehood

Date: 18/03/2016 A.D 09 Jumada II 1437 H

His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday prayer sermons at the Imamain Al-Hassanain Mosque, Jumada II, 9th 1437 H. – March, 18th 2016. Several prominent religious scholars, dignitaries and thousands of believers attended the Jumu’a prayer.

In the first sermon, His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, talked about the eternal struggle between the right and falsehood. The Sayyed elaborated on the means that falsehood resorts to in order to win this conflict. But he asserted that in the end, the right will be victorious, especially if it is based on faith and piety and is void of any subjective interests.

In the second sermon, the Sayyed began by the state of the “nation” in Lebanon. He maintained that the country is passing from one crisis to the next to the extent that it might turn into a failed state. These crises threaten not only the national security of the Lebanese, but also their health and their very existence.

The Sayyed asserted that new and more dangerous crises will continue to emerge as long as those who are responsible are protected by their sects or political parties. Thus, it is high time for all these parties to hold their responsibilities in full, but this will not take place as long as they feel confident that the people will not hold them accountable.

In Syria, the Sayyed noticed that the conflict has turned into a regional and international struggle. He added that it is enough to take a look at the delegations negotiating in Geneva to realize that they represent the regional powers more than they represent the Syrian people, even if they claim to do so. The Sayyed ended by concluding that since the solution in Syria can only be political, then the sooner it is reached the better, for it saves what is left of the people and the country’s infrastructure.
