Sayyed Fadlullah received the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon

The Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received Muhammad Rida Shibani, the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, and discussed with him the general situation in Lebanon and the region, especially the situation in Iraq. The meeting also touched on the developments of the Palestinian problem on the security and political levels, in addition to the Palestinians' sufferings due to the Israeli siege on Gaza Strip. 
On his part, the Iranian Ambassador briefed the Sayyed about the developments of the peaceful Iranian nuclear project and the Iranian suggestions for solving the problems in the region and the world.
During the meeting, The Sayyed stressed that all Muslim and Arab countries should support the Palestinian people, especially in this critical stage in which the Palestinians are being pressurized to accept the Israeli-American conditions. Among these conditions is the enforcement of naturalization of the Palestinians amidst the attempts that aim at ending the Palestinian cause, at a time Israel is preparing to celebrate its sixtieth anniversary of establishing the Zionist Entity.
His Eminence called for observing the developments in the region, especially in Lebanon and the American-Israeli schemes in Palestine. He also indicated that the American Administration is working on getting out of its impasse in Iraq through pressurizing the Palestinians and the Muslim world in general in a bid to create a rift between the Arab and Muslim countries and to continue to instigate sectarianism, in addition to the attempts of intimidating several countries.
The Sayyed also emphasized the importance of the role of the Iranian Islamic Republic in supporting the Palestinian people and the resistance movements. He also pointed out that it has always cost Iran a lot, especially that some stands that are declared here and there are trying to end the Iranian Islamic role in supporting the nation's causes and the forces that resist foreign occupation.

He also pointed out to the necessity of taking major actions in this respect through the role of Iran and other Islamic countries in serving the Islamic unity project.
